We had a wonderful evening with friends at Cotto. The food is delicious. The decor has you feeling right at home (if home was an Italian home) and the service was superb. Great wine and great company made it a perfect evening. The portions were huge and there was something for everyone on the menu. We will be back.

After a magical 2 hour walk exploring ZOOLIGHTS we arrived to the warm and inviting home of Cotto Italian Comfort Food. The 4 of us were seated in a cozy spot and greeted by our lovely and attentive server for the evening. All the staff we encountered were so welcoming. Soon warm bread arrived coupled with a bowl of oil and a syrupy swirl of thick balsamic. Next we received a plate of crisp tender Arancini in a gooey aged cheese fondue sauce. We wished we had ordered a double batch. Added to that a bowl of olives and a very generous Caesar salad to share and by it’s devoured end we felt very comforted and spoiled. Ample wait time between gave us an opportunity to chat and enjoy our rare restaurant visit. Our mains were set before us and we shared a taste from each bowl. My and table mate’s Orecchiette was delicious and the right amount of chilies made me eat every last Al dente morsel. Just so flavourful and a light richness that was so satisfying. Everyone loved their bowl of thoughtfully prepared pasta. The prawn Spaghettoni had a skillful depth of flavour. The Fettuccini with roasted mushroom with creamy truffle was rustic and rich. That 2 hour walk allowed us room to share dessert. Tiramisu and a Two Bite Cheescake (really should be called a several bite cheesecake) put a sweet end to this well prepared gratifying evening of food, drink and family time. Cotto you are excellent hosts and we thank you for providing us with a memorable evening. Thank you.

After going to Tuscany Italy for the past 18 years and eating excellent Italian food, I would say Cotto is the best Italian restaurant in Calgary. Guiseppe di Gennaro is a genius.

A lovely Italian place, the pasta are amazing, rich in flavors. Tiramisu was the cherry on top. We had an amazing time here, the service was great as well.

The service is attentive but not over-bearing. We were a group of 4 with lots of catching up to do so we took a long time to order and eat but there was no problem, no rushing us. The large caprese served the 4 of us well as an appetizer. Everyone was pleased with their pasta or meat dishes, and the panna cotta for dessert was just the right amount and flavourful. Espresso was super. Thanks Cotto!

Wow, wow, wow! This was one of the best meals I have ever had. Everything we had was truly amazing! And what made the experience wonderful above all was the service. Dana, the owner and server was the best server I've ever had. She was so sweet, and so welcoming, and truly just made us feel like family! Overall it was an A++ experience, and we will most certainly be coming back!

Stopped by last Friday without reservations. Had their "Italian Job" special for $35/person. Included two appetizers, salad, shared pasta and dessert. Arancini was amazing! Bruschetta has either burrata or some other soft melt in your mouth cheese, Caesar salad was garlicky cheese goodness, rigatoni with pork sausage was incredible and then a creamy smooth panda cotta for dessert. One word... fabulous!! Service was excellent too. I will be back!!

Food was beautiful and delicious. There was only one waitress because of Covid staffing shortages and she handled it EXCELLENTLY. The scallops were a big hit, as well as the Caprese Salad. Flat bread crust was perfect. Everyone loved their pasta. Highly recommend!
