“Kinda hidden away but an amazing gem of a coffee shop (Vietnamese based). Would highly recommend the coconut coffee or their signature Viet coffee (there is a morning and afternoon version that varies in strength/caffeine). All drinks go well hot or cold (one does not get more diluted than the other). Reasonably priced for the quality of drink and en par to most coffee shops in Calgary ($6-7). There is an ample amount of seating and it can be quiet enough for a person to read/work in most times. They serve food also and snacks (buns/donut/cupcakes) along with Vietnamese dessert like drinks. For those who like salted egg, they have a really good unique cupcake!“
“After a horrible experience elsewhere it was a real treat to find this gem on Google maps.After finding a route here with all the road closures we were greeted like family while the counter staff helped us try flavors and combinations that we have never found anywhere else.The flavors all pop in your mouth so it was hard to narrow the selection but finally we each chose 2 and fell in love. “My overall experience at La Diperie had been great! It was my first time going there today, and I got a regular ice cream dipped in oreo with biscoff cookie crumble on top on a regular cone. The place is small, but they had a good selection of desserts (not just ice cream). There were cakes, doughnuts, and waffles, among others. The only thing to keep in mind is that there aren't tables or seating except for the 2 benches in the store. This place is more suitable if you'll just come grab something to go, but this did not really impact our experience. The food and good customer service and cute interior made up for that. The location is a little off the main pathway for public transit users, but it is worth the visit.“

We were there before Mother’s day and part of our orders include hand packed gelato and 2scoops cone. The staff (Asian male person with thick iglases) scooped the wrong flavour on top of the cone, placed coconut vs vanilla! We argued and did not accept the order, he insisted he had the right flavour! We had to go back to cashier to confirm. So he tried to remove the top layer but it did not come off easily, frustrated, he dumped the whole thing in the trash with an attitude! While he was re scooping a new one, another staff was prepping the handpacked liter, he immediately took over the hand packing, when we came home, it showed that the liter was not properly filled up, an inch of space from the container was empty! He should not be working in a service industry if he has such an attitude! Note: I want to give a big shout out to the owner (Dino Falvo et al?)!!! They immediately responded and replied to my review comments posted 7May2022 . Goodluck to the team! We may have to try the new location that was recently opened and nearer to us.“

“I love their large selection of flavours including some niche ones like pandan and ube. It's funny how I've come here twice and never realized that the selling feature of Abbey's is their mix ins. I've never gotten their mix ins because I always thought it was an extra cost but that's entirely my fault. Learn from my repeated mistake and choose some mix in toppings! Without the mix ins to make it special, the ice cream itself is pretty average. The ice cream definitely doesn't compare in terms of quality to an artisanal creamery, but that's alright because their selling point is in the quantity of flavours you can choose from and being able to make your unique scoop with your toppings and cone of choice.The staff were kind and gave me a cup of water when I asked so that I could take a lactase pill. All my fellow lactose intolerant ice cream lovers can appreciate what a big deal that is.Also their Rainbow Fantasy looked like the Super Hero ice cream flavour of my childhood but it did NOT taste like the nostalgic super hero flavour I remember so don't get Rainbow Fantasy with that expectation.“
