A must try Japanese place in Calgary. Our Waitress took care of our allergy needs with utmost care, As I am severely allergic to shrimp. She checked with kitchen staff multiple times and made sure there is no contamination whatsoever. Great attention to detail be it service wise or food. ?

Ikusa Izakaya is always our go-to for ramen and sushi. Staff are always welcoming and food quality is always top notch. Restaurant has a good amount of seating so it’s quite easy to get a table. Definitely recommend trying for all!

If you like sushi rolls with lots of rice, then this is the place for you. The yakitori we got wasn't freshly cooked, it seems like it was just reheated on the barbecue. For example the chicken hearts were hard and dry. The beef tongue was rubbery. The steak and the pork belly was off. However the service was exceptional. They were able to remove some stuff off the bill and gave a free Pocky for inconvenience.
