The steak sandwich special was very tough, it took forever to “saw” with my steak knife, it was not overcooked just tough. For $22 I would expect better.Also the waitress said they couldn’t take a $100 bill when I was paying for my $61 tab. Cash is dead at this place of they didn’t have $40 on hand.Same owners as the previous Pig & Duke, just slightly worse everything overall.
Was near 40 bucks for 2 pints and a chicken burger!Obviously gravy and a side of clamato are a ripoff money grab.Just not worth that cost!

Overall the experience was good. The wait time from when our order was placed until the food arrived was longer than expected (over 1/2 hour) The place was very busy so I'm assuming that lack of staff may have ben the issue. Anyhow, I have been here many times and will be back again.

I was in Calgary for a week to work downtown and came to The Imperial Tap two separate times. The food was great and so was the service. I'll be back next time I'm in the city.

Horrific service. I made a reservation two weeks in advance. We waited 45 minutes for WATER in which I asked the bartender and she scowled saying she was trying her best. We were on a strict time constraint. Didn't get food till 1:45 (showed up at noon).It was very understaffed. Could have been a lot better preparation. Perhaps jugs of water on the table/cutlery knowing there was a reservation.
I fed their skillet nachos to an ant and it died of starvation
