Overall the experience was good. The wait time from when our order was placed until the food arrived was longer than expected (over 1/2 hour) The place was very busy so I'm assuming that lack of staff may have ben the issue. Anyhow, I have been here many times and will be back again.
I was in Calgary for a week to work downtown and came to The Imperial Tap two separate times. The food was great and so was the service. I'll be back next time I'm in the city.

The steak sandwich special was very tough, it took forever to “saw” with my steak knife, it was not overcooked just tough. For $22 I would expect better.Also the waitress said they couldn’t take a $100 bill when I was paying for my $61 tab. Cash is dead at this place of they didn’t have $40 on hand.Same owners as the previous Pig & Duke, just slightly worse everything overall.
