Stopped at Simple Simon Pies at Crossroads for family gathering desserts. Rhubarb Strawberry pie as perfect. The pastry is the best I've had and the strawberry wasn't used exclusively to allow the rhubarb to shine. The peach pie was also very nice, not too sweet and fresh tasting. The savory pies were available for tasting and I will certainly be back for some of those.
I really like their soups and most of the pies. The Taco pie is a little too Taco spice for me as it tastes just like the Taco powder mix, if they would tame down how much powder they put in them they would be much better.

This place was located in the Crossroads Farmers Market. We walked around the farmers market and there were so many choices to choose from! Truthfully we've been eating junky over the past few days during our road trip so I wanted a simple soup. Ordered the beef barley soup and a Saskatoon pie. The soup was surprisingly good!
