Extraordinary food. Excellent service. I cannot recommend more highly. Everything is authentic and made in house. Such a great discovery. Will be back for sure.

Each time we eat here, the food is prepared differently. One time the rice may be just bland white rice, the next time spicy rice with vegetables and sometimes very dried out vegetables. The beans may be anything from pale brown to black. Also, on occasion the food has been plated beautifully, on others awash with sauce with little rice or beans. I don't know if they have different people in the kitchen on different days, or just have trouble retaining staff. The food is not bad, you just never know how it is going to be served. They also seem to have trouble keeping in stock all items on the menu.

The food was authentic and very delicious! Fresh and homemade ingredients Our server was so friendly and accommodating that this is one dining experience we will return for again & again! Thank you Diana and staff for this pleasure!

I don't know how they manage to keep on top of things at the front of the house, as there is always only one (rather aloof) fellow acting as the server and the bartender, and he does do a great job of keeping on top of things. The only thing that I would suggest here as an improvement would be to expand their hot sauce collection. It is quite meager ( two choices, one of which is green habanero sauce) and could use the addition of some Tapatio or Valentina or Chohulla to the selection. That would make the dishes much more appealing, at least to me. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Chicken Quesadilla and my Chicken Enchiladas were great, partially owing to the fact that the chicken used was shredded tender and moist chicken breast meat only.

Seafood burrito was the lunch special. It was delish and this place would rank # 1 for me in this country.. I will repeat. Nice family owned, independent business...

Group of us met for lunch here; it’s a clean and friendly atmosphere. Staff are kind, attentive without being intrusive, and the tables are well-spaces apart. We haven’t tried anything we don’t like. Highly recommend the tacos, burritos and enchiladas. The location is handy, being on Bonaventure Drive, in a strip mall. Easy access from the parking lot with a bright, sunny interior dining area.

The atmosphere & music are Great! That's where it ends. Service wasn't great, don't like to be ignored or argue with a server, who needs that? Food was prepared with the LEAST amount of effort, NO passion, NO flavour. Absolutely loaded with sautéed white onion. YUCK. HUGE Disappointment. First and Last visit. Definitely NOT Authentic which you know right away if you've ever been to Mexico.

We've driven by many times and finally decided to try it out. The staff was friendly and prompt. We really enjoyed the food and drinks.

Our family loves Mexican food and this was THE BEST we have had in Calgary. I really enjoyed the Rancheros Enchiladas, my son thought the mole enchiladas were outstanding, and others enjoyed the tortilla soup and the fish tacos. The service was incredible and friendly and the chef obviously proud of his creations. If you enjoy Mexican be sure to try out Tu Tierra. You will love it.

Don't plan on a meal here if you don't have time to wait for it. Although the food was good and plentiful when it came, it was about a 1/2 hr wait for our order of 2 Chimichanga's. We were there around 5:30pm and only one other couple when we came in and another right after us. Margaritas were a little water downed for $9 each. We weren't asked if we wanted anything more to drink and ordered glasses of water on our own. They had sufficient staff for the amount of clientele just didn't seem attentive enough. That is why I am only rating average. Calgary seems to struggle with really good Mexican restaurants so there is little to choose from. If you are really in the mood and live in the area I would recommend but...

Visiting Calgary on business with my wife. We both love Mexican food and so as this restaurant was close by our hotel we decided to give it a try. Don’t let the standard of the furnishings influence your decision to eat here as they are admittedly sparse. They are, however clean and functional and completely adequate to enjoy the delicious food that is on offer. I am a particular fan of tortilla soup and started with a small serving that was much bigger than expected. It was delicious and contained a large amount of shredded chicken. For my entre I opted for the Poblano combination dinner which consisted of a Chilean relleno, a chicken enchilada in mole sauce and one chicken taco. The mole is excellent and the Chilean relleno was delicious with just the right amount of heat. My wife went with the Picadillo tacos which were also delicious and well presented. We both appreciated that the plates were not filled with rice and beans as is the case in many restaurants. Drinks are reasonably priced and I can recommend the mango margarita. So tasty and refreshing.

Great, friendly service. Food was awesome. Had the combination plater; chili relleno, chicken enchilada and chicken taco.

The server was not able to understand that we wanted out start first and the rest of the meal after. She brought everything at same time and we were no able to eat everything properly. Half of our food was cold by the time we were done the starts.
