We visited this restaurant last week and made sure to return before the end of our holiday. Over the two visits, we had a range of goat, chicken and fish curries, all of which were delicious and beautifully presented. If you’re in Canmore, I recommend you pay at least one visit.
My family and I stopped in Canmore on the drive from Lake Louise to Calgary, and had dinner at Mumbai Local. We've eaten at many Indian restaurants in both India and in New York, and this was by far one of the best meals we've had. Everything was so fresh and beautifully spiced. The chicken Momos were absolutely delicious, decorated with fresh herbs; the butter chicken was perfect; the biryani a lovely fresh mix of rice, shrimp and veggies, the breads flaky and buttery. The food is excellent and caters to those who enjoy spicy food, as well as those who prefer a more mild dish. The staff are very attentive, and the restaurant itself has a good atmosphere; with a lovely setting here in Canmore.
