“The Roaring Rolls has rave reviews on Google, so we ended up going there during our stay in Canmore a few weeks ago. The place was packed, and we didn't have a reservation. But luckily we managed to get a table!? Service was excellent ? When food came, we were surprised by the big portions (value for money). The real deal was the taste of the food...my goodness, that was beyond amazing (we had Chole, butter chicken bowl & Schezwan naanza). We obviously had to go again! So we went today and tried something different - Chole lettuce wrap & chicken biryani. It was great too! Also - this place has a cute little Instagramable spot for pics!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options availableParking: Parking at The Shops”
“Our Wedding Cake was SO beautiful, and SO delicious!! Darci was awesome to work with, and is so great at what she does!! We traveled to Canada from the US for a destination wedding, and didn't know what to expect but this cake was EVERYTHING!! 10000% recommend Kake by Darci! She even included our husky from home into the cake to be a special part of our wedding day!❤”
“Tina was very very helpful in explaining the menu. We ordered both fried & grilled over the rice, one order of saucy tangy chicken. The portions were worth the price. We couldn’t finish and had to pack our food to our hotel. Highly recommended, surely will be back.”

“Absolutely amazing experience. Food was top notch. Impeccable presentation and quality. Unique ingredients that were very cohesive. We added on both supplements. The quail rillette was 10/10 but the lobster add on wasn’t our favourite (the bisque around it was delicious though). We did the non-wine pairing which was advertised as a ‘juice pairing’ but it was so much more than that- would highly recommend!Everything is homemade and high quality. Staff were amazing. The ambiance was forestry and rustic. Really fun decor and lots of fungi! Will certainly be back to taste the next menu.”
“Excellent Onigiri! They were a standout.Kitchen uses gluten free soy sauce and most of the food is dairy free so great for people with insensitivity. The matcha latte is really good too. Our daughter loves the fresh bubble tea (used making fresh ingredients and with coconut milk so dairy free as well). My better half thoroughly enjoyed the matcha ice cream. We also enjoyed breakfast here and ended up visiting 3 times over our long weekend stay in Canmore and samples a good chunk of the menu and will be back!Resos recommended!”

“One of the better meals I've had. The candied pork belly, scallops and a pint of "What The Huck" will be tough to beat for a long time. Staff go above and beyond and will be back soon!”
“Amazing spot. We ordered two pizzas (margherita, pepperoni), the crust is the perfect amount of crunchy and chewy. Toppings were high quality and expertly distributed. We were seated at the bar on a busy night, so we got to see how the pizzas are assembled and served. The staff are super friendly, efficient, and good at their jobs. Try the chili oil, it’s a punch of flavour and not too spicy. You can also ask for garlic dipping sauce. I wish I had been hungrier so we could have ordered dessert!”

“We had the tasting menu and drinks pairing and it was phenomenal!! The best meal I think I’ve ever had! Loved trying interesting wines and port and sake! Unexpected but it totally worked!”

“Excellent food! Unique flavours and lots of different appetizers and drinks to choose from. Everything was very fresh and light. Definitely somewhere we will revisit.”
“Really enjoy this place, comfortable and well lit restaurant with the best patio views. The beer has always been great from Grizzly Paw, and the food at Tank310 is better than the pub! Really like their summer menu right now, the Hikers Hummus is amazing, as is the Charcuterie Board. And where can you get a bathroom view like this...We come here now when we're in Canmore.”
“We came in for dinner tonight, and our server Ronnie Z was 10/10 excellent. The food was fantastic and everything was perfect. We haven’t had such a pleasant experience in a while- the difference really was how personable and diligent Robbie was. We will be back!!! Thank you for a fantastic evening Ronnie!”
“Service was excellent, waiters made sure you were looked after, full drinks, food was excellent lots too choose from, recommend not having lunch if you want the full experience lots of food.”
“My husband absolutely loved his pad Thai, 10/10 he said.I thought it was really good too but not great, I only ate 1/3 of mine and saved rest. I don’t know I guess I was used to a more creamy, peanutty type flavour.Came with ok amount of crushed peanuts but we both agreed it would have been better with it covered but that’s our preference in taste.”
“A truly hidden gem in Canmore. Our child asked how we booked the entire restaurant for us? Such an amazing view of nature, with snowflakes upon us, while enjoying the warmth of a real fire. The service was impeccable, and meal very tasteful. Steph has been one of the best in Alberta to take care of us. From a well travelled individual, highly recommended!”

“What an absolutely phenomenal experience! Our February wedding at this venue was nothing short of perfection. The staff went above and beyond, ensuring every detail was taken care of with kindness and accommodation. From the seamless setup of both ceremony and reception to the mouthwatering cuisine, every aspect exceeded our expectations. The ambiance, with the majestic mountain view framed by the illuminated windows, was simply breathtaking. We highly recommend this venue for both weddings and dining experiences. Our heartfelt thanks to the team for making our special day truly unforgettable!”

“Tyler took excellent care of us ! We started with the Octopus Salad Appie. Followed by our BB favourite of a main course the Rainbow Trout with Creme Kale & Mashed Potatoes ! Absolutely spectacular as usual ! Great to see people on outside deck enjoying the great sunny weather ! See you soon !”
“Third time being here, food was delicious as always however the service time was so slow. It took about 40 mins to get just the lox labneh dish and poke bowl. Restaurant was not busy at the time either. Hope service time improves here.”
“We enjoyed the Cheese & Charcuterie a lot....but we didn't have great service. The wrong order was brought to us and it took 30 minutes to fix this issue and then we were forgotten about altogether.”
“The bartender was really polite and the service was fast!I don't drink so he made me a virgin drink which was very delicious and I have no idea what it's called!! From one bartender to another..cheers!! ”
“Gorgeous views, great food and drinks. Friendly service. Highly recommend the ceasar and sangria for drinks and yam fries and chicken wonton nachos for food. An absolute must!”

“We had the best time. The red mile band was fantastic. Crowd was great. Drinks likely watered down which was too bad. My gf had 7 and would normally be done at 3 or 4 max. She said the whole night something wasnt right with the drinks. I felt the same.Great night other then that.Lot of fun.”

“Deeeeelish! While eating the Heartstopper, my 9-year old daughter said, “It’s better than the best sandwich I’ve ever had!”And I agree. BBQ Beef was fantastic.?”
“This place was really cool and a good place for breakfast with LOTS of options. Very trendy, unique little place. Only downside is it’s crowded and you’ll struggle most times to find a place to sit. But that’s just cuz they’re successful! It’s really good, try it!”
“The best bakery in Canmore! My family’s must stop French bakery on the way to the Rockies! There are traffics due to the road works and there are not many parking. No more individual tables except high bar chairs. Quick take out is the best.”
“We had a lunch here on the weekend, it wasn't very busy so I was a little nervous. But the service was excellent and the food was great! I definitely recommend stopping by.”
“Absolutely fabulous breakfasts! We were in Canmore for 4 days and tried The Bankhead our first morning. The four of us loved everything about our meals. I've enjoyed memorable breakfasts all over the world, and very few hold a candle to this. We usually go somewhere different every day of a trip to maximize our experiences, but we returned for three more breakfasts and one terrific dinner. The various eggs Benedict are all sensational, with perfect house-made Hollandaise. Pancakes, waffles and French toast are delectable. Potatoes can make or break a breakfast, and the smashed baby potatoes blow it up. We’d return just for those. The panoramic mountain view and soft jazz music make it calmingly experiential, and the servers were terrifically accommodating. All this, and the value for such a great meal experience is superb. A really delightful discovery for us in Canmore, and a highlight in over 30 years of great visits to our favourite mountain town.”
“We absolutely love this place!! Its one of our must stops when we are in the mountains. Our fav - mountaineer bagel and caramel macchiato. The carrot cake is a great “to go” option for a mid day treat! Their bagels also amazing and we always grab a bag as we head back home. It is always busy with a long lineup but the line moves quite fast so don’t let that discourage you! It’s worth the wait!”
“Dietary restrictions: Spoke to the Hostess and informed her of being celiac.Everything was exceptional.Drove all the way from Edmonton to find a Gluten Free Restaurant. They Did Not Disappoint.Hard to find a parking spot but drive around till you do. It’s worth it”
“This review is a month late.. better late than never!Group of 6 visited in the evening after a long day of doing some winter hiking. When we entered the establishment we were given the option of two different dining experiences - a more classy experience up top and the casual on the main floor which is what we chose.Martin was our server and was very personable, shared some laughs with us and gave suggestions. His service was prompt and let a great impression on all of us.We ordered some appy’s first - wings, hummus w pita (to die for- SOOOOOO good) and a couple non alcohol beverages. The lemonade is really good!! We couldn’t get enough of it.My friend is from New York City and doesn’t eat red meat. HOWEVER, we all talked up the “Alberta Beef” craze and he decided to order it. Ohhhhh my goodness I swear it broke that man lol. He loved it so much that we went back the next night for him to get it again LOLOL. After he hasn’t eaten red meat in 20 years, their burger just is so incredible he couldn’t help himself.4 of us had the burger which was just so so so unbelievably delicious.A couple friends ordered the warm pretzels, unfortunately they were not happy with them but I didn’t try them so can’t say for myself (however they are huge foodies lol). Also something very cool to add - there are board games to choose from! There is a fire pit outside which was super cool because the weather was hovering around zero that night, so we sat around the fire a bit on the way out.Absolutely fantastic vibes and I will suggest to everyone and I will be going again!!!!!My brother had recommended this place and i am so thankful he did!”
“If you get to Canmore, Beamer’s coffee bar must be one of your first stops! He has the best coffee and muffins! His branding is on point and service is always exceptional! And 2 locations as well!Way to go Beamer and hoping to see your face my next visit! ?”
“This brewery has lots of seating available. The decor was minimal and could be spiced up a little bit. I wish they had more non alcoholic or non-beer options. My husband loved all the beers he tried! However, he ordered a beer and the server told him “that’s unable to be poured currently” and didn’t elaborate on what that meant, and we thought that was super weird.”
“Love this place. Pleasant staff and owners. Great wholesome food.I've known of them since they opened about 25 years ago. Whenever we visit Canmore we love to go back and support this localy owned and grow shop.So good to see its the same owners and they are still hands-on in the shop.A great relief from the cookie cutter chains.Cheers.Wheelchair accessibility: Street level and spacious interior.”
“This is my all time favourite ice cream. It’s just absolutely perfect. Made locally. Priced super fair. It is outstanding. It’s a product I dream to have a life time free supply of. The ice cream sandwich is my favourite. Fun to buy from the little cart in front of stone waters in the summer. Don’t forget to grab a punch pass. I picked up an ice cream cake just randomly the other day. It’s so fantastic and I love eating it for absolutely no occasion other than it’s delicious! Go get some! And help me get a lifetime free supply!”
“Amazing food and drinks! Didn't think I needed a $16 drink, it was so worth it! I inhaled my burger! Will definatly be coming back and highly recomend to others!”
“Wow! The service was great the food was amazing. We stayed nearby and walked over two days in a row. I usually like to try new restaurants when traveling but loved the food so much we had to go back. There was 9 of us and not one single complaint. Everyone loved their meals. The service was great too!”

“A Taste of the Tropics in the Rockies !!!!Nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, Sheepdog Brewing in Canmore offers a delightful surprise for beer enthusiasts with their Coconut Porter. Their beer menu is a testament to their dedication to quality and creativity. As a fan of dark beers and exotic flavors, I was intrigued by the idea of a coconut-infused porter, and I must say, it did not disappoint.Upon pouring, the Coconut Porter presents a deep, rich mahogany hue with a creamy, tan head that invites you in with its tantalizing aroma. Notes of roasted malt and chocolate waft through the air, hinting at the complex flavors to come. What sets Sheepdog Brewing's Coconut Porter apart is its masterful balance. The coconut infusion is pronounced enough to make a statement, yet it never overwhelms the classic characteristics of a well-crafted porter. The marriage of toasted coconut with the subtle bitterness of the dark malts creates a harmonious symphony on the palate, leaving a lingering, satisfying finish that beckons you back for more.Whether you're a seasoned beer connoisseur or a casual enthusiast, this brew is a must-try. It's a testament to Sheepdog Brewing's creativity and dedication to quality, as they've managed to craft a truly unique and memorable beer that captures the essence of both the rocky mountain wilderness and the sun-soaked shores of a distant island.”

“I am french and i love everything about this place! The food is wonderful, everyone is so friendly and i love that they have french music on.Whenever I go there, it feels like home. They make the best croonies and carrots cake.”
“Hats off to Ulysses ! A true barista!. One of the best espresso macchiato's that I have ever had. Drive out of your way if you want the best specialty coffee's you will ever”
“Stopped for breakfast and coffee while I worked. Very welcoming staff, delicious veggie omelet and good (not bitter!) bottomless coffee. Nice atmosphere, music loud enough to be heard but not overpowering. Ample parking helped too. Thanks Cacao 70!”
“We stopped by Mountain Blends in the afternoon after doing a cave tour. They were the closest coffee shop and so we popped in, and boy were we surprised. The iced mocha I had was one of the best in my life, and the rest of the party agreed the coffee was fantastic. The owner Jenn and the roast master Alyssa were friendly and personable, and they even let me check out the roaster for a bit. The shop is clean and doesn't have the (to me) typical burnt toast smell. There is a small seating area that is comfortable and they serve pastries from a local bakery that are also excellent. We ended up going to Mountain Blends every day we were in Canmore, and will certainly be back the next time we are in the area!”
“Excellent shawarma. The regular sized one was plenty filling. Nicely crisp and thin exterior. Great choice of toppings and they’re all included in the price! Will return.”
“Best coffee in Canmore! This location is also perfect for kids and babies. There is enough space across the two floors that everyone, whether you have kids or not, can I’ll enjoy their coffee and snacks while the kids can be kids as well :)”
“Such a cute and cozy coffee shop on Canmore. The iced lattes were delicious, strong & bold espresso flavour and slight sweetness from the flavour shot. The only negative was the speed of service, took over 45 min of waiting in line and for the lattes to be made.”
“Finally Canmore has VIETNEMESE. ??I’ve had the beef pho and the satay noodle bowl- both good. Two bubble teas as well that were good. Happy to finally have this option in town, and prices aren’t too bad considering.”
“It's diner-style food, but it's good food and the service is fast and friendly. We ate here for breakfast twice (we stopped a third morning but they are closed on Tuesdays) and the parking lot was always packed, the restaurant was always full but we never had to wait long to get service.”
“We ordered delivery from here and the food was awesome! The pasta salad was perfectly cooked and our Hawaiian and Fun Guy pizzas were amazing. They delivered ahead of what they said, which I always appreciate. We’ll be back!Vegetarian options: I had a small Fun Guy pizza and the pasta salad. Could easily have served 2. Delicious!”
“Hello I left my bag with sunglasses inside of it in your shop and have not been able to contact you guys, are you able to please hold onto them I do not live near Canmore but I’ll be able to get them soon”
“So we visited Canmore the last week in aug 2021We were lucky enough to book an Airbnb with a kitchen so I took a chance and ordered the family specialI did 2 family pasta orders and 1 family lasagna and they were fantastic and a giftThis allowed us to enjoy a full day taking in lake Louise or other sites and yet come home to a quick, hearty, delicious mealIt’s taken us over a week to eat all the pasta that I ordered for around a hundred dollarsIf you’re just a middle class family looking to have delicious dinners while saving a few bucks- order the Friday family mealPickup is a cinchFood is deliciousIt’s a good alternative to eating out every night- not that there’s anything wrong with that”
“Fun, unique, and tasty. Our favorites were the Skore Cheesecake and the Lemon Sugar (I don't quite remember the name) one. Fortunately, you can have 2 different flavors per tail. The kids loved it... and it was definitely messy, but fortunately they have a sink right in the main lobby to wash up.It's fun and tasty. Give it a try. You'll be glad you did.”
“5 star atmosphere for tge Canmore mountains and ots a beautiful sunny day out. There's comfortable seating ourisde with music, sadly it's right on the main highway so that's rather noisy and the crosswalk beeping is obnoxious.Chai latte was good and fairly priced for Canadian standards (high)I'm on a mission to visit the best coffee shops (atmosphere)Parking: Free parking with 10+ spots”
“The bagels were amazing ?. There were so many flavors and bagel sandwiches to choose from. They also had muffins, macaroons, banana bread, and much more. If that wasn’t enough, they had green, black, and non caffeine flavors of tea. The chocolate chip cookies were challengingly good, it wasn’t blinding sweet, the lowered sweetness allowed me to taste the other great tastes that were hiding in the cookie. You should check this place out!”

“The hostess & server were both wonderful. They were friendly and checked in on us often.Just be warned, they have a period between breakfast and lunch where you have to wait for the change over & can’t order. So we just went for tea and came back.I’m glad we did!I decided to go for a Game Changer burger with a GF bun. It was so good! The burger patty alone was one of the most delicious I’ve ever eaten, and add in the Brie, BBQ sauce and Brisket; It’s amazing. We’ll be back Graze ?- It would be nice if the staff have somewhere else to hangout when on break instead of on chairs in front of the bathrooms…haha. But you probably have a small facility.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available. They have a separate fryer for the fries.”
“The bartender was really polite and the service was fast!I don't drink so he made me a virgin drink which was very delicious and I have no idea what it's called!! From one bartender to another..cheers!! ”
“Third time being here, food was delicious as always however the service time was so slow. It took about 40 mins to get just the lox labneh dish and poke bowl. Restaurant was not busy at the time either. Hope service time improves here.”
It’s worth it”
“So impressed with this place and the Schnitzel. Been here twice now and everything is wonderful. The service and atmosphere is great and the food is amazing! Mostly have just tried the Schnitzel, but all of the sides (braised cabbage, spetzle, potatoes, etc) are great as well. Even the sausage is delicious.”
“We were having a hard time finding somewhere dog friendly on a beautiful sunny March Sunday afternoon. Tavern 1883 welcomed us and two Golden Retrievers who were treated like royalty by staff. The outdoor patio is large so all four dog tables were separated by a fair distance, which is always good.I had the cauliflower bowl with chicken, which was really quite good. Including avocado and a few more black beans are my only suggestion. A nice, hearty and mainly healthy meal if you don’t feel like a burger.Hubs had fish and chips, which was a good portion but heavy on the oil (I know…it’s fried! Just a bit heavier than usual). That’s why 4* but I’ll add we’ve eaten here before and have enjoyed other menu items. Menu has a lot of variety, which is a welcome change to burgers, pizza and usual pub food. Beer was good and cold. Will definitely return and recommend for the very friendly and accommodating service, especially on a beautiful afternoon with furry friends! Thank you!”
“Good is fast, hot and fresh due to how busy this location is and parking is good spot. Able to get straight back onto the highway. If you wanna go inside or eat inside it can be a mess, again due to how busy this location is.”
“A slightly neglected cafe. Maybe because of the large influx, because it was a day off. Some items from the menu were missing. But the view from the window and the atmosphere cover the shortcomings.”
“We had the tasting menu and drinks pairing and it was phenomenal!! The best meal I think I’ve ever had! Loved trying interesting wines and port and sake! Unexpected but it totally worked!”
