If I could give it 10 stars, I would. It's not hyperbole to say this was one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. Rachel, our server was happy, kind, knowledgeable and energetic (but not annoyingly so). The margaritas were amazing and the food was perfect. The vibe was a refreshingly light take on a Mexican theme.Dietary restrictions: Almost everything is gluten free

Way overpriced, unauthentic, very uncomfortable and claustrophobia inducing... Stick with Julio's a half block over.

LOVE THIS RESTAURANT! My husband and I came here the day after our wedding as our first meal and they were attentive, professional, quick, friendly and welcoming. I just visited their restaurant now after an event on Whyte Ave and they were sooooo nice. Turned my day around and cannot thank them enough.Their drinks are amazingly delicious and food is always great! Highly recommend!

Me and my friend have been here only a few times, but the staff already know our faces and most of our orders. The atmosphere is so chill and welcoming, and the food is excellent every single time. One of the people who works there, Wesley, is so friendly and approachable. Also they have homemade nachos that are to die for. Very good experiences, very good food, and very friendly vibes. Would recommend.

April 21, 2024My friend and I went for dinner here.We ordered 4 Birria tacos, 1 fish taco, 1 bean taco, 1 al pastor taco, and 1 chorizo taco. The 3 salsas consist of hot, medium and mild flavors. The hot salsa wasn't hot enough nor the house hot sauce. The birria, al pastor and chorizo tacos are worth it as well as the bean taco. However, the fish taco, the fish itself seems small. For dessert we ordered tres leches and it was delicious ?Our server is very attentive and friendly

I visited here from Toronto on recommendation from my family members that live in Edmonton and I am incredibly disturbed by the service. I felt racially discriminated against. I went there with a toddler, a newborn and 3 other adults. Usually when you go to an establishment, with small children, they go out of their way to help to accommodate because anyone with children knows how challenging it can be to go out with kids. We had sat in the back table and pulled the two tables together as we were occupying the space and a white male worker came to us and told us we cannot just be moving tables. We apologized and asked how he suggested we could be seated to accommodate our party. He went on to repeat an additional five times that we cannot be moving tables. Again, we apologized and stated we understood and ask yet again how he suggested we sit to be able to accommodate our party. He proceeded to state that since we could not fit at the one table we could not be accommodated and stated that I was rude so he will be refusing service. I’m not sure how asking how he suggested we be seated was rude as I was looking for him to help with a solution. I could not help be feel discriminated against and felt racist vibes as we were the only black people at the establishment and I have never had and experience whereby anyone refused to accommodate a larger party especially when the space was available. I am completely disgusted and disappointed. The owners should be ashamed and should ensure their worker go through culture competence training and explore their implicit biases.

Trying this place for the first time. It’s around $7-8 per taco, which I thought was pricey, but the tacos are filling so 2 was enough for me The chorizo and birria tacos were great! And we got chips with queso. The queso was warm and delicious. Loved the selection of sauces too. Lovely service.

Visited Marlo for a weekday lunch, this was our first visit to Marlo. Very quaint restaurant, unfortunately due to the size/layout the bathrooms are basically directly in the dining area which is a bit odd. For our meal we shared the chips and dip (queso) and tried a few tacos (feature, chorizo and birria). The chips and dip were excellent, the table salsa trio seemed to lack flavor. The tacos were 3/5 for us, good portions but again seemed to be missing something. The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive team. Service was also fast we were in and out very quickly, so if you’re looking for a quick lunch this is a great option. I was really looking forward to trying Marlo as we are fans of the sister restaurants, but I don’t think we’ll be back.

Tacos are really tasty! Service is good. Small space and crowded during rush hours but otherwise it’s a cute tiny restaurant.

Firstly service is always on point they’re really friendly and amazing! As for the food it’s pretty good, comparing to restaurants in Mexico I couldn’t tell you it’s as authentic as it could be but not bad for Canada. The amount of food is with the dollar you spend, and overall a good place.

Would give Marlo 10 stars if I could. Every time we come here, the tacos are just TOO good. Filling, hearty, and the fact that you can mix & match your tacos to get one of each flavour.. that’s oddly a rarity in the taco world. The Biera taco is the most superior taco I’ve tried thus far - which is a miracle because it’s on the regular menu!! Their feature tacos are always 10 stars good. They have local non-alcoholic beer (massive bonus points) + the options for dips & sauces is superior. From start to finish, the experience is so customizable, the prices are fair, the service is fantastic. Best tacos in the city, hands down.
