What can I say. MEAT is consistently soooooooooo good and serves the best southern bbq in Edmonton, IMHO. It's Edmonton's not so hidden little gem. When I first discovered this restaurant many moons ago, I let my nose do the navigating on Whyte Ave. I had to find the source of what smelled so delicious. The restaurant is very open and spacious. I really like that the concept is more family style dinner. We got the meat sampler which had so many different types of meat. They had brisket, fried chicken, bbq chicken thigh and breast, ribs, andouille sausage, and pulled pork. We added the pork belly tips, and 3 sides of cornbread with honey butter, macaroni and cheese, and loaded mashed potatoes. That was enough to feed 4 adults and a 5 year old. Brisket was so tender and juicy, and pulled pork sandwiches are awesome. We also had garlic fries, but they were too salty for me. The portion size was good for the price. We will be back again.
