“So to start off we have been wanting to come for a while but the hype calmed down quickly it seemed after opening so we had forgot until last week. To start off the food we got was all pretty good. Loved the mushrooms, tartare was one of the better ones in the city besides the portion being extremely small for the price when compared to other high end restaurants in the city, The Gnudi could use seasoning but still tasted really good. We would have gotten more but the menu really didn’t have anything that jumped out especially for the price. That’s what I want to get to next. The menu needs to be printed, it’s a super awkward read and for a restaurant aiming to be higher end having everything in one tiny book is weird. The ordered was super weird and having brunch, lunch, dinner, and dessert on the page and not very uniform made it less appealing. Then the atmosphere, it was very reminiscent of its past life but some nice updates, what was rough was walking in to staff all together on the far side of the bar and on phones texting. (Really kills the vibe that is being attempted). This spot has tons of potential but from our experience and what we have heard from friends it is the little things that make it not be a must try again in town. Hopefully some tweaks can be made but will definitely come back to try brunch“

“We stopped in for lunch today. This location has transformed and the renovations are fantastic. It appears bigger but it is the same square footage as before. The service is definitely upgraded. The two gentlemen who served us today made sure we felt welcome. It was great to see the bar taps letting us know right away there was draft and it was perfectly cold. I had a dark ale and my guy had the usual. The fish was perfectly battered. I had the combination fish and two kinds of shrimp. I am now a fan of coconut shrimp. It was too much so now I have tomorrow’s lunch. We couldn’t resist the deconstructed carrot cake that came in a cute jar. Delicious! I didn’t take pics because we left our phones in the car. The place was pretty busy and while we were there we did not see plates going back into the kitchen which is an indication everyone was as happy as we were. Joey’s always had good food IMO but the inside felt a little too fast food. Not now, Joey has grown up and it feels adult. This place will be on our usual list. “Great service!I recently ordered a bowl at freshii. I thought I had confirmed that it had no dairy but potentially the server didn't hear me. When I recieved the bowl I noticed what looked like a yogurt based sauce and when I googled it, the bowl was said to contain dairy.I was so upset, as I'm severely lactose intolerant. However the lovely server offered to make me another bowl with a different dressing. Dinner was saved! “Excellent sushi. The fish has great taste and texture, both raw and grilled. The chef's definitely know what they are doing and the service staff are quick and proactive. Price is not exactly cheap, but fair for sushi these days and basically equal with most other restaurants. The place is well lit and has a nice atmosphere. Highly recommended!“
