“Have you ever been to a restaurant so good you leave a review before you’ve even left? I’m not just talking about the food but the service to. I walked into La Patrona today around 130PM after driving 9 hours from BC for a funeral tired, hungry and just meh. I was greeted with the brightest smile , the smells were incredible. Immediately sat down at a table. My food came out fast , hot and so so phenomenal. The portions HUGE. I still can’t rave enough about my lovely waitress ! The kindest smile , such a soft spoken voice and just radiating with positivity. Kindness goes along way in life. Highly recommend!”

When I stopped by the restaurant, I spoke with the owner, who is very nice and said I was from Philly and looking forward to trying his cheesesteaks. What was interesting for me was that he imports the bread and the meat from Philly which makes a huge difference as it makes it authentic. As we talked, I also recommended that if he can, he should import to other local Philadelphia food items such as Tastykakes and pepper Hoagie Spread. Here’s honest review. The cheesesteak was very good and tasted like a genuine Philly cheesesteak. I wasn’t used to the breaded onions but it added a unique and delicious texture and taste.”

I went with the osso buco—one of my favourites—and it did not disappoint! Mine came with pasta aglio e olio, which I hadn’t tried as a pairing before, but now it’s my new go-to. The meat was fall-apart tender, loaded with flavour, and the portion size was spot on. Great food, friendly and professional service, and refreshingly down-to-earth prices. “I am up in Sherwood park staying at the Best Western just down the street! I’m the talent acquisition manager for a trucking company, and I’m up here hiring drivers, because we are expanding, so trying to find a quick good meal in between interviews is so hard! This place has a blow me away!!! The staff is so friendly and welcoming! The food is beyond amazing! And so much food for the amount of money that you pay it is unbelievable! We have a similar place like this in Calgary…. So this made me feel at home! This place will definitely be my go to place anytime I’m up in this area! So what are you waiting for? “Decided to make a stop here before heading home after the Pink concert. The gingersnap cookie was wonderful. Perfectly spiced. I also tried the carrot cupcake. Carrot cake is my absolute favorite. I had high hopes. It was only ok. The cake itself needed a lot more spice. The frosting needed to be more cream-cheesy. I'll definitely go back and try a different cupcake. The store itself is super cute and I love the way there's other products in there from local people. Support local businesses!”

The family who runs/ owns it are so sweet and everyone who walks in is greeted as if they were family themselves. Best spot for delicious comfort food for sure.”

“As a disabled person 👨🏻‍🦽,not all local places are accessible. Almost feels on purpose sometimes. Sherlock’s in Sherwood Park is a different story. Friendly accommodating staff like I’ve never experienced. Their tables are well spaced with a good wide path to the accessible bathrooms that a chair can actually fit in and close the door. Food and drinks are prompt , disabled parking always available. I’m going to mention how great the staff are again because they even go out of their way to set up a shorter table near the action on open mic nights . Also the best place for open mic’s Thursdays to see new emerging talent, with the most awesome host and artist Jake Buckley. He’s got a way a making everyone feel comfortable in a laid back atmosphere. I don’t even live in the park or write reviews , but I travel here because they go above.”

After I paid, there was a deal for $5 off my pizza but they said too late, I would have to use it next time. I live an hour away and don't come every day.
