“We visited Joey's Sherwood Park with a friend that was visiting from Houston on May 14/26 at 6 p.m. I have nothing but good things to say about our dining experience from start to finish. The hostess was very welcoming, and the food was excellent. But what put it over the top for me was our server Calder. He was outstanding. Very friendly, shook our hands as he introduced himself. His knowledge of the menu was exceptional. He even changed our cutlery for us after we finished our appetizers. And the speed of service was great, attending to all our needs. It was a great night out! Thank-you Joey's & Calder for making it so. Will definitely go back.”

“Have you ever been to a restaurant so good you leave a review before you’ve even left? I’m not just talking about the food but the service to. I walked into La Patrona today around 130PM after driving 9 hours from BC for a funeral tired, hungry and just meh. I was greeted with the brightest smile , the smells were incredible. Immediately sat down at a table. My food came out fast , hot and so so phenomenal. The portions HUGE. I still can’t rave enough about my lovely waitress ! The kindest smile , such a soft spoken voice and just radiating with positivity. Kindness goes along way in life. Highly recommend!”

I went with the osso buco—one of my favourites—and it did not disappoint! Mine came with pasta aglio e olio, which I hadn’t tried as a pairing before, but now it’s my new go-to. The meat was fall-apart tender, loaded with flavour, and the portion size was spot on. Great food, friendly and professional service, and refreshingly down-to-earth prices. We’ll definitely be coming back!”

“I had the Smoked Salmon and Avocado Eggs Benedict. The smoked salmon and avocado were delicious, and the cook prepared the eggs perfectly. Unfortunately, the home fries were disappointing, and the fruit didn't taste very fresh.

The service was good. Our server, Jade, was very pleasant and kept my coffee topped up throughout the meal, which was appreciated.

My biggest complaint was the menu. It was quite confusing and felt more like a novel than a menu. There were so many options that it was difficult to find a traditional breakfast item.

Overall, it was a good experience, and despite a few shortcomings, I would come back again”

“Food: Excellent. The order was 100% correct, the Chubby Chicken burger was made perfectly, and the fries were piping hot straight from the fryer.

Service: Very fast. Had my food in hand within 2–3 minutes of approaching the counter. Staff were efficient and straightforward, not too overly friendly.

Atmosphere: Clean, well-maintained, and easy to access with convenient parking right out front. This parking though can be a bit busy, but there is also parking on the far side of the lot, past the gas pumps, so you may have to walk a short distance if it's busy. There is a quiet dining space off to the side of the kitchen if you want to dine-in.”

“I think the food here is great, it's closeby to where I live, I've been going here lots and haven't really had any problems. Haven't had really any issues with the food itself, but sometimes they forget a straw or a fork but it's not really the end all be all. It's usually clean, the staff are great, apologetic if something is forgotten, and helpful.

It's not really paving the road for a new great food place, but it is consistent, clean and good for a quick bite.”

I’m the talent acquisition manager for a trucking company, and I’m up here hiring drivers, because we are expanding, so trying to find a quick good meal in between interviews is so hard! This place has a blow me away!!! The staff is so friendly and welcoming! The food is beyond amazing! And so much food for the amount of money that you pay it is unbelievable! We have a similar place like this in Calgary…. So this made me feel at home! This place will definitely be my go to place anytime I’m up in this area! So what are you waiting for? The pizza is amazing and we always sit in the lounge and have awesome service. We ordered that to go Pizza and when we open the box in each had a slice the whole pizza wet we didn’t even have one slice to take home.”

“Decided to make a stop here before heading home after the Pink concert. The gingersnap cookie was wonderful. Perfectly spiced. I also tried the carrot cupcake. Carrot cake is my absolute favorite. I had high hopes. It was only ok. The cake itself needed a lot more spice. The frosting needed to be more cream-cheesy. I'll definitely go back and try a different cupcake. The store itself is super cute and I love the way there's other products in there from local people. Support local businesses!”

SO GOOD! The taste was fresh and clean. Clean meaning, not overly heavy or laden with gravies, etc. My friend LOVED the Loco Fries and of course my tacos with lime dressing were sooo good!

“This bakery is your best stop for traditional donuts. Deepfried like a donut is supposed to be with focus on taste and quality over fancy. Limited selection of traditional fresh baked bread are available however for larger orders call ahead and pickup outside the morning donut rush. If you want to remember what a donut was befor the big cup franchises messed it up this is the place.”

“As a disabled person 👨🏻‍🦽,not all local places are accessible. Almost feels on purpose sometimes. Sherlock’s in Sherwood Park is a different story. Friendly accommodating staff like I’ve never experienced. Their tables are well spaced with a good wide path to the accessible bathrooms that a chair can actually fit in and close the door. Food and drinks are prompt , disabled parking always available. I’m going to mention how great the staff are again because they even go out of their way to set up a shorter table near the action on open mic nights . Also the best place for open mic’s Thursdays to see new emerging talent, with the most awesome host and artist Jake Buckley. He’s got a way a making everyone feel comfortable in a laid back atmosphere. I don’t even live in the park or write reviews , but I travel here because they go above.”

“Almost a year later I brought my friend to the restaurant for her birthday. She ordered prawns with cashews. It came with eight shrimp, absolutely not prawns, and a pile of green peppers, celery carrot, and large hunks of onion topped with a scattering of cashews in a very boring sauce. 6/10
Our second dish was Beef Satay. A good portion of tasty beef on the sizzling iron plate. Accompanied by onions, carrots, mushrooms and large pieces of green peppers. The menu suggested it was spicy but that was not the case, however, the sauce was decent. 6/10

A bowl of vermicelli noodles was exactly that.

Satisfaction level a 5, presentation a 5, value a 5, atmosphere a 6, service a 6.
The restaurant continued to fill up throughout the evening. Obviously we ordered the wrong dishes. 🙃

The staff were so pleasant, the food was good and the manager/owner supplied our girls with a personal pizza to take home and dessert to go with their meal! He also gave parents/ coaches takeout containers for leftovers so they weren’t wasted. All included in a great price. People, if you are travelling with your kids on a sports team, or even a schools trip, this is a great place to go!!!
