“I’ve ordered D’arcys Meats for year as well the weekend meals so I was pretty excited to see what the restaurant offered! The brisket is so tender, juicy and delicious! Not overly seasoned and not salty. It was my favourite item. The ribs were fall off the bone with just the amount of sauce. Extra sauce offered on the side. You choose your side or sides depending on your menu choice. We chose fries and coleslaw. The fries are thin and shoestring. Tasty! We tried the coleslaw but found it on the dry side. We will try a different side next time. Next time. Yes, we will be back!“

“Been here twice now, both times my wife and I got the beef brisket platters and it is very very good, service was friendly and fast both times as well! I personally don't like having a TV in the dinning area as I find it distracting from conversation. Prices are great for what you get really can't recommend this place enough.“

“What can I say. MEAT is consistently soooooooooo good and serves the best southern bbq in Edmonton, IMHO. It's Edmonton's not so hidden little gem. When I first discovered this restaurant many moons ago, I let my nose do the navigating on Whyte Ave. I had to find the source of what smelled so delicious. I love the casual atmosphere with family-style serving trays and people enjoying pints of beer from MEAT's ample rotating taps. No stuffy wine or other formalities, although there is a limited selection of wines available if someone in your group is into vino. It's also a good place to try a shot of Bourbon or rye whisky or have one of their many Bourbon-based cocktails. They also have a number of the very tasty Philips brand sodas for any non-drinkers in your party.What about the food, you ask? Well, MEAT's beef brisket is truly a dish to die for, and is always beautifully smoked and juicy - a melt in your mouth favorite. Make sure you order a pound of it and you'll be served a nice pile of both the lean and fatty parts. I've tried a lot of brisket in Edmonton and most of it is dry as a hockey puck and nowhere near as flavorful. Ribs are great, burnt ends also. One thing that sets MEAT apart is they minimally season their meats and smoke them in an 2/3 cherrywood, 1/3 hickory blend of woods, and this allows the subtle flavor of the meat to shine through. The brisket, I believe, is rubbed with salt and pepper only.Side dishes: The mac and cheese is a must have dish, as are their spicy meat beans. The beans have more smoked meat than beans - truly amazing! And I can vouch for the flavor of their Andouille Dirty Rice, made with sausage from local producer Meuwlys. I hope MEAT brings back their roasted beets, which was on their rotating menu a few years ago. The beets were sweet, tender and so very earthy.Just remember to get there early as some items sell out if you arrive past 7:30 pm. Atmosphere is usually pretty lively/energetic.Oops. Almost forgot to mention how good their house-made sauces are. I'm partial to the Bourbon bbq sauce and the cherry.Great blues!Vegetarian options: There is a featured vegetarian option on their menu board every day. There also is the BEET MAC, so you can bring along your vegetarian friends and they can watch as you devour all of the succulent meat dishes you've ordered.Parking: You'll have to walk a bit if you drive. There aren't a lot of parking options around this restaurant.“

“They seemed pretty busy so we waited quite a while for our food, but it was worth the wait. We had the ribs and brisket. The meat was super tender, the coleslaw was delicious and the portions were generous. One person I shared what I couldn’t eat and one person in our party had a take home. This is a hidden gem of a restaurant.“

“It’s pretty good, it is what you’d expect for pricing very similar to any non AYCE Korean bbq prices. It’s a neat place but terrible for larger groups, it’s usually easy to get seating though as I’m pretty sure they’re having a hard time finding customers right now“

“Not a bad little restaurant. The inside is just a couple tables, as the area is not very busy other then the surrounding businesses. The fries are soggy and very brown. The brisket sandwich was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. If you work in the area and are looking for something new then I do recommend trying this place for the meat. Staff is nice from what I can tell. Overall my experience was a 6/10“

“Went to try these guys at the 124 grand market festival that's happening.Got the Major pulled pork sandwich and with cheddar jalapeno corn bread as a side.The cornbread was very soft and moist, flavoured very well, sweet with a very small kick. 5/5The pork sandwich was quite good overall, the crispy onions added some nice flavor, however the pork was a little bit dry and the BBQ sauce was almost non existent also the cheese was also not melted at all, for a $15 sandwich I expected a bit more. 3.5/5All and all the experience itself was good, the guy working the truck was friendly and we didn't have to wait too long for our order. 5/5“

“I stopped in for a late lunch today and the staff where very friendly and the food was amazing. My server helped me pick a beer to have with my BBQ plater and it was outstanding. Can’t wait to go back and bring my wife or go out with the boys for a meal.“

We had the $65 Sharables Experience and loved every bit of it!We started with the Riblets which were delicious and fall off the bone tender. They were also much larger than expected. “Excellent food and service. We ordered brisket, chicken and some sides. The brisket was warm, flavourful and juicy as I had asked them for the fatty part of brisket. For the sides we got mac n cheese and bbq beans which were both very tasty. We got our food in under 4-5 mins and the seating area is nice and clean.Highly recommended!!!“

“Was there for a show titled payday with comedians De Don and Big White. It was a blast. The sfeer was fantastic, De Don cracked our ribs and Big White was simply majestic. DJ Yung Jahh dished out the best mix I have had in a long time. The suya was delicious. Maybe thats why we found the portions too small for the price.We had planned to leave by 11pm but stayed till 1:30am cos it was such a groove.“
