“Mei's kitchen is a local gem! They boast some of the most authentic Chinese food in Anchorage and offer generous portion sizes. Mei's kitchen has quickly become my go to lunch spot. My current favorite order is chicken fried rice with level four spice.“

“Stopped by Kenny’s Kitchen in the Tikahtnu Commons area and was really impressed. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient, and the food came out fresh and *hot*, always a win.

The portions are absolutely HUGE. Like, easily split-a-meal huge… or plan-on-leftovers-for-later huge. You definitely get your money’s worth here.

“Was told the Chinese food here is one of the best in Anchorage! Well I add my review in support of that! Went here and everything was presented well and tasted great! It exceeded my expectations for the Chinese food found in Anchorage. Try it for yourself! Very worth it! Go in and sit down and dine in like we did. It might be the best experience over a take out option. So many downsides to take out at any place instead of hot and fresh then and there.
We had Mongolian beef, Szechwan chicken, sweet and sour chicken. This was two lunch special plates! Soup included. The sauce on everything gave such flavor to each chicken. It was the best part of it I loved the flavors! Everything tasted like it should and very rich in taste.
Young ladies that were working the afternoon lunch shift were sweet and kind hosts. The environment is very China which I also love! 4 start just because it was loud due to other not so kind guests. Not the fault of the restaurant.“

“Great Pork Adobo - that's my go to. My second entree is whatever looks good. The people behind the counter never skimp on food. Plenty of seating inside. It is quick, it is tasty - what else do you want? The market side is my go to for lots of produce. The quality is consistently higher than New Sagaya, but the variety is smaller. They seem to only put out good food to sell though; I've never purchased a moldy or rotten thing.

“My daughter wanted Chinese food while we were in Anchorage to ice skate. Being unfamiliar with the local restaurants, we looked online. Having been spoiled by truly amazing Asian food in the past, we chose China Lights. We were not disappointed! The food was beautiful and awesome! Very colorful and flavorful. The restaurant was clean and the had a joyful feel. The owner and wait-staff were attentive, kind, and showed a true enjoyment of their jobs. Miss Tracy was genuinely super kind to my daughter and I. Going to a place where people really enjoy what they do makes a big difference in the overall experience! Definitely added to my favorite stops list in Anchorage.“

I’ve tried famous Chinese spots in almost every major city I’ve traveled to (including San Francisco, LA, NYC, Boston, and DC), and this is a truly authentic experience. The atmosphere and decor perfectly match the incredible food. Our waitress, Lady Chong, is absolutely lovely—I even heard other customers telling her 'I love you' before they left! 🤣 Such a cute, welcoming place.“
