Pretty good pizza, just expensive! Small selection of ciders for a "ciderhouse" but the one I got was good.

This is not a "Cider House", this is a pizzaria that sells beer. There is not a SINGLE cider on the printed menu, instead I had to ask an employee if they even carried ciders. They carry at least one cider but could not tell me if it was local or where it came from. They don't currently offer cider flights, but said they recently ordered the glassware to offer that in the future. The atmosphere feels like a Dominoes instead of a craft cider establishment. My server/owner? spent most of the time on his cellphone, but it was pretty dead inside which could have been because it was a Wednesday night. Overall not impressed and would not recommend. I didn't order the food so I can't comment on that.

Such a great location! All the ciders were wonderful. The hostess was knowledgeable and gave us great info. Try the flights!

Great pizza, great cider, with friendly and attentive staff! All their pizzas look good, including pizza chefs who still toss dough. Ordered the beer cheese pizza, which was very delicious, although not quite the unique experience I had envisioned (basically, reindeer sausage, especially when in a larger dish, doesn't taste all that different from any other sausage...not bad at all, just worth keeping in mind). Ciders were also quite good with a diverse selection. Would be worth returning to explore the menu in the future.

Food was excellent! Pretty quick service but not super friendly wait staff. Would definitely recommend!

I stopped here for dinner on a Tuesday night and this place was really crowded. I had to wait about ten minutes to be seated but it was worth it. The pizza was delicious. The sauce had a spicy flavor which was enhanced by the volume of pepperonis on it. Service was good.

Wow did this place plummet. My husband and I came here when we first came to Alaska 2 years ago and it really seemed like a staple place to go to in anchorage. We recently went again because I was craving the wings on the menu, and everything from start to end, made our experience terrible. We started noticing the quality of the food started downgrading within the last 5 months. The last two times we've been there, there had been an excessive amount of pizza flour at the bottom of the pizza. So much that the flour was burnt, and when you pick it up your hand is covered in burnt flour. In addition to poor food, the service was below par as well. After our server took our order, he went MIA for 45 min (without our food). Mind you we were one of 2 parties that were there and all we did was order 2 pizzas. Apparently our server went on lunch and didn't tell anyone? Overall, this place has been a miss recently and it's such a shame because this place could've been a good anchorage staple.

Pizza was good. We tried the Spicy Reindeer Sausage pizza along with two small sized salads. The salads were fresh and generous. Was disappointed that their cider selection was very limited none of the more unique ciders were available so ended up with an apple cider which was okay but not noteworthy. Part of the reason we chose to go there was due to their menu and advertising on the website regarding cider choices. Service was friendly and fast.

Dropped in on a busy Sunday evening for a cider flight, salad and Reindeer Sausage pizza. The food was terrific even if the service was rather slow and inattentive. Would definitely visit again!

Back in Anchorage in isolation due to Covid and could not resist ordering pizza from this place again. They went out of their way to make sure that we could have pizza delivered to our prison in the bates motel while we are isolated due to a case of Covid. Thank God for great pizza I am had this pizza before a week ago and you cannot go wrong here from the staff to the food it is all well above normal. Actually it's well above exceptional. Spend your money here

I ordered the lamb gyro and it was really awful. First, in a practically empty restaurant, it took 23 minutes for it to come out. It comes with pasta which was flavorless and was literally soaked/dripping in some kind of oil. The lamb in the gyro was very minimal and it was also bland. I'd ordered a side of tzatziki sauce and it was, again, bland and very watery. I only ate half of the gyro and hardly any of the pasta. So, I pretty much wasted $15. Maybe they have other items that are good but my experience was terrible and I don't recommend this restaurant.

BBQ wings. Beer cheese pizza on the left. Build your own pesto, blackened chicken, feta cheese, tomato, garlic and spinach on the right. If you like wood fired, you'll love this place. Probably shouldn't have paused to create the review. My only fixation at every pizza place like this, push the toppings closer to the edge. The crust here has excellent flavor, but I don't need that much of it without toppings. Probably is more difficult that it looks, considering I don't hand-make pizza. Next trip to Anchorage, this is on my destination to return.

The build your own pesto with blackened chicken, roasted garlic, tomato, spinach and feta pizza was a gourmet delight. Order the beer cheese pizza to taste the reindeer. The BBQ Wings are enough to make you fly. I'll never forget the forget me hopped cider and the grapefruit/lavender cider was a delicious blend. The service was friendly and very kind and on top of service even when it got busier. I highly recommend if you want delicious wood fired food, creative cider and friendly service.

Fat Ptarmigan has consistently been one of the best places in town to get pizza… Especially with their wood fired oven and crust recipe. Even though the founding chef has moved on, much of the appeal from his original recipes remains. And with the addition of the space-within-a-space Anchorage Cider House, there are more ways to enjoy this tasty spot downtown.

Second time here and I love this place! Great vibe, great music, staff are very personable but I've noticed they take a WHILE to get to you even though it's not terribly busy. Even just to get you something other than water. Bathrooms are clean, pizza is amazing and I love their veggie selections! They serve Double Shovel Cider here, good local beers, wine, etc. No liquor fyi but at a pizza, soups/sandwich joint, is this really expected? Who goes to a hipster pizza establishment and orders a black orchid martini? Probably goths so ok, it's not very goth-friendly here, whatevs- nobody's goth-friendly! Which is probably why I no longer own that Tripp mesh shirt I got twenty years ago (5 years ago) at Hot Topic. Kinda miss it though but where would I wear that other than at Ren Fairs and house parties with an 80s theme? Unless I become a male stripper in which case I would definitely not eat at a pizza joint and drink beer! Aaaanyway, they've got cauliflower crust for gluten-free and a build-your-own pizza is you prefer! Check it out!
