Finally got around to trying this restaurant and I was overall pretty satisfied..I got the Veal meatballs in cabbage Appetizer (Frikadeller med rødkål) to start and was slightly let down..The Meatballs were drowned in (Extremely) sweet purple cabbage and it tasted like there was way to much sugar in the sauce and way to much cabbage/sauce to meatballs in my opinion..The meatballs were good but probably will stay away from this Appetizer in the future. My entree was the Beef Bolognese pasta and it was delicious! Great portion as well..The gentleman putting my food together put some delicious bread in my bag for me and I thought that was a nice gesture..The men that work at Jen's don't come off as the type of people that are up for small talk and seem pretty serious but that's ok...I noticed there house wine is a White French Appellation wine that is one of my go-to's which is a good sign and I'll most likely be back to try more dishes...?

Food was pretty good, but for white tablecloth dining the menus was limited and a little underwhelming. Mostly seafood options, so if You're not into seafood you won't have much to pick from. The atmosphere felt tight. The tables were small and crowded with plates and glasses and more plates and flatware. It was a tile puzzle trying to fit four people. The service was excellent.

Food was good but not exceptional in any way. We were there at 7 and the salmon entree special was already sold out! We had fresh cod with a plantain crust, mushroom soup and a green salad.

Wonderful meal. One of the top three key lie pies I've had in the world. Main dishes were prepared excellently. Katherine was a superb server and kept the courses perfectly timed for a marvelous date night. We will be returning often.

My wife ordered a well don't steak (that's the way she likes it don't judge), and we had to send the steak back because it was rare-medium. Not an issue, but waitress tried to argue that well done steak has a lot of red. Huh? Not saying well done steak is the way to go but if we pay for freaking well done on Valentine's Day give me a steak the way I want and don't tell me well done is red.

Warm atmosphere and great service. Timing between courses were perfect, we were never left waiting too long for the next course. The charcuterie board was tasty and didn't spoil our entrees. The pork chop entree was flavorful, tender, and juicy. The gemelli pasta was hearty with a smooth and creamy sauce. We dined with our child but weren't expecting a children's menu to be available. We were pleasantly surprised with the child friendly menu and coloring sheet. Our child doesn't care to dine out, but really enjoyed the experience with Jen's! We will be returning in the near future.

I go to Jen's at least twice a year for special occasions. It has always been one of my favorite places. This time, the experience left little to be desired. While my peppercorn steak was amazing, the sauce was over salted as were the au gratin potatoes. My wife's potatoes and brussel sprouts were cold. The appetizers we got were spot on as was the dessert. While these might seem like petty or minor complaints, the amount of money being spent directly correlates to a higher expectation.

The kalamari is so good. I didn’t catch her name, but the server with black hair was so kind and attentive. She really made the expirience great. Dessert was fantastic too. Try the danish pudding.

Menu is exquisite with many flavors for a wide range of tastes. Service is friendly a skilled. Tried a wine we've never tried at the recommendation of our server and it was perfect for our meal.

After reading about Jen's being one of the top rated restaurants in Anchorage we finally decided to try them. Unfortunately they just didn't deliver in food quality or service. I thought they may have had an off night and was willing to give them a second try but after talking to a number of folks who were familiar with them they all said the same thing. "Twenty years ago they were good but have been going down hill ever since". Unfortunately this is all too familiar of a story about restaurants in Alaska, just take the Turtle Club for example. Save your money and go to the Crow's Nest, Kincaid Grill, Jack Sprat, or Mark's Brothers.Parking: Very small strip mall parking lot

The “by now almost world famous steak” is really good. Oysters taste like sea. Other dishes are fine.

I am starting to really love this restaurant. It's quiet. The ambience and colors, and art, are beautiful. The food is FAB. The staff are so competent and wonderful. The wines are great. It's an experience of enjoyment, vs an experience of endurement, which I feel like many ANC restaurants have become.
