We had dinner reservations for my husbands birthday for 8 people… apparently Kobe is temporarily closed and couldn’t be bothered to notify its customers of the closure. Unbelievable. Will not return when they reopen.

It's always fun to take people here for their first time. Always has good food and healthy options. It's the first place I've tried cold sake too, it was delicious! It's a good place to meet new friends, friendly people eating at our table with us. I recommend going on an evening when you're not in a hurry, it's fun to enjoy your time here. Call ahead for reservations is best!

Ooops went on week day, with a reservation. Wondering why so slow, hmmm they had one chef. Would have left but we had already ordered appetizers when we found out there were two other tables ahead of ours. Had to wait nearly an hour... Taste buds out of whack by the time we got our food.

High price for tons of food, fun and entertainment! Even my 4 year old had a blast even though we were celebrating my daughter's birthday!

Hands down one of the best hibachi experiences I’ve had. We had the intentions of going to Benihana but they were full so we tried this place. What a happy coincidence. I won’t be going anywhere else but here. Kayzee was our chef and he was hilarious and really sweet to our toddler. Our waitress was really sweet to our infant. GIVE THIS PLACE A CHANCE!!!

Eating dinner at Kobe is such a fun and exciting place to eat. The chef George was amazing and humorous. George made our time at Kobe a great experience. The food was amazing, delicious and prepared with expertise. The steak and shrimp were perfect. The fried rice was excellent!

The food is not terrible, but I prefer cocktails with dinner when I go out and they serve only beer and wine. I wasnt paying attention and I ordered what I thought was a margarita but it was a wine margarita. Perhaps we were visiting together too much and our chef didn’t bother to put in a show, as compared to what I saw at the other tables. I have heard that people really love this restaurant and I believe that it’s really great for others, it just wasn’t my favorite. The restaurant seems a little expensive.

Kayzee is amazing and cooked the food well. Very funny and sweet, gave us some sauce to go as well that we showed interest in. He's a great cook and made eating there amazing. I eat there all the time but he really made my experience different in a good way this time. Give that man a bonus ?

Talk about the rudest host ever. No smile, nothing. It was my friends birthday and we had a reservation, made it on time and 40 long minutes later, still no table. Went to go ask if they were going to seat us and she snapped saying is everyone here and said she’ll set up the table. We just left and went to Applebees. Never going to step foot in this overrated, overpriced, unprofessional restaurant… worst first experience ever.

It was my first time in and I’m from the south. I love steak. Request for Kayzee. He was an AMAZING cook and is the ONLY person in the state of alaska at any restaurant that cooked my steak the way it was supposed to be cooked: medium rare. It was perfect. He amused us the entire time and is such a hard working employee. He gives the absolute best service that anyone could ask for or expect. He put a smile on our faces the entire time and it was a great first impression for my experience. I wish I had more to say, but im just mind blown by the whole thing. He deserves much recognition!

Terrible.....absolutely terrible. First off you have to have a reservation to be seated at a table here. During these times I find that to be understandable, but you also should not be expected to wait an hour before your habachi chef (if thats even what you want to call these guys with this level of cooking) to come out. While waiting for our extended period of time for dinner we finished our beers, yet the three other staff members were too busy talking around the bar than to take notice of the whole table needing refills. We went up to the bar to request another round. The salad was ok and the soup luke warm with no real flavor. Once they finally decided to come out and cook dinner for us the chef was very unmotivated and unentertaining as you would expect from a habachi cook (thats fine whatever as long as you can produce good food, and this was far from it). To top it off the food was very poor quality, you got a brown ginger sauce and a watered down mustard substance which I was very confused as to what you would even want to eat that with. The meats they served looked like the cheapest products you could get from walmart but will cost you $30-$40 or upward to $60 if it includes lobster. Then to top it off they tag on another $6 for the rice, which any time I have eaten hibachi the rice and veggies was included in the meal price. By the end of the cooking the chef just seemed super ready to leave and the waitress brought out togo boxes immediately. I would have expected for a $200 ticket for 3 people they would have atleast had the audacity to ask how is the food/everything. I am usually pretty laid back with having bad restaurant experiences, but this one just really embarrassed me with the poor quality of food, extremely rude service and I feel very much ripped off. But thank god for the sliced orange they brought out for dessert. Avoid this rip off of an establishment, save your $200 and go down the street to McDonalds or even Golden Corral, I promise it will be a better experience. I would have had a better evening/meal at either of those places rather than getting borderlined robbed from this joke restaurant Kobe. Would give negative 5 stars if it was an option!

Our appetizers were excellent, but don't eat too much of that because we had a tin of food for 4 people. Definitely had to go containers.

Party of 5. Made reservations for 4pm. Got there, we were seated. Was not a fan of the soup or salad that came with our hibachi dinners. However our food was absolutely amazing. Igie was our chef and he put on a great show. Our 10 & 11 year old were in awe, it was their first ever hibachi experience. My husband raved over the tempura shrimp and veggies, plus swore it was the best beef friend rice he has ever had. Our veggies were delicious! Kids even ate them with no fuss. I got the steak & scallops, and everything was cooked to perfection. Plus sooooooo much food left over. We tipped our chef Igie, an automatic gratuity was on our bill which was about $20, bill came to $160. Definitely worth it. Great Service & Great Quality food!

First off, the chef had a personality of gold, his skill was alright, pretty average considering Alaska. His food was decent, nothing memorable though, opposite of his demeanor. I will say they got a heck of a thing going here. We had a party of 4 and were charged a 18% gratuity on top of the price of the meal. We ordered fairly expensive, knowing we wanted a memorable experience, but would have throttled it down or chose not to go if I knew about the 18% gratuity. We left there paying $325 on top of the cash tip we gave to the chef before seeing the bill. Not cool, definitely won't go back. Food was worth 3 stars at best for price paid, service was ok, the scam of auto gratuity leaves a bad taste. Funny thing is they would have hit more if not charged automatically.
