She recommended the birria tacos, California burrito, and Mexican Caesar salad.

I got the birria tacos on the first trip. Definitely the best birria tacos I've ever had. They were the perfect amount of greasy deliciousness. Highly recommend. I got the strawberry horchata because why not. It was different. Happy I tried it but I'm good.

The next trip, I got the California burrito. Honestly it was just okay when I ate it fresh. But when I ate it as leftovers the next day OMG. It was way way better.

I'll have to return next week to get the Mexican Caesar to see if it stands up to my coworker's hype.

“Wonderful space for an evening out. Food is always stellar. Drinks on point. It’s hard to find good Mexican anywhere outside of the southeast in my opinion but this place KILLS it every time. It’s a go to. You should go, too. Always love the music which is upbeat and adds to the vibe. Staff is hip, friendly (and cute). Service couldn’t be better and have met the manager Monica who is just always happy and adds to the experience. When I’m feeling blue I come here and that frown turns upside down. It’s like being in a top tier Mexican resort for a few hours.“

The meat is amazing. The asadero cheese is perfect. The consume is so good. And it's a cherry on top to get a roasted jalapeno and delicious salsa. I'd rate it among the best birria I've ever had. This weekend i finally stopped in at the Serranos on Tudor and had a very delightful surprise when I ordered their chicken street tacos. The meat was deliciously seasoned and moist. We also got a side of chips and salsa that to munch on before the food arrived. I will be back to get these tacos again. The atmosphere was relaxing at the bar. The server was courteous and attentive, telling us about all the tequilas they have. If you're looking for some top shelf tequila, this is the place to go.

“Taco Laco made the most incredible taco shells EVER. I've bought taco shells in Mexico, Southern California, Texas, and Arizona and nothing compares to the fresh corn flavor and perfect crispness of Taco Laco's very own Anchorage-made taco shells. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find them in Alaska stores lately. I called Taco Laco today and was sad to hear that they have just taken them off their production line. Nooo!!! I will continue to buy other Taco Laco products, but I really hope they reconsider not making the shells any more. Sigh me.. Worst Taco Tuesday ever..“
