“I was excited to try Xalos after reading all of the positive reviews. My California burrito tasted good but the carne asada was pretty tough and some of the listed ingredients were hard to find.

I was also let down when I learned that you cannot customize your burrito at all and they don't have a salsa bar. How can you serve chips without salsa and then charge $6 for a small side of salsa? 🙄

I'll come back some time to try the birria tacos... but I'll probably stick to Qdoba or Taco King next time I'm looking for a burrito.“

“We’ve long been fans of Serrano’s take-out for our company events, but when we heard about their stunning new Terra’s Room downtown, we couldn’t resist hosting our statewide management team there, and it did not disappoint!

From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless. Serrano’s Manager, Monica G., connected us with Alysha from Elevated & Refined for our tablescapes, and she absolutely nailed it. The setup was gorgeous, warm, elegant, and completely honored our 70 years in business.

The food and service were outstanding as always. The legendary beans at the Taco Bar had everyone coming back for seconds (and thirds), and the star of cocktail hour was a show-stopping charcuterie board that disappeared almost as fast as it was served.

We left full, happy, and already planning our next event. AVIS Alaska will definitely keep Serrano’s at the top of our list for every celebration.“

“For saving the people of Anchorage with something near authentic this place is phenomenal. Does it stack up to Cali Mex or Tex Mex... surprisingly almost. I'm very happy this place exists and their burritos are huge. They used to have better tacos but they still have some birria tacos and other traditional style, but not things like lengua anymore. Their portions are generous and the salsas are fantastic. They have begun to cater to the northern American pallet so you can find things like that taco shell salad and honestly I see that and immediately think red flag. Haha, if you like that though then there you go. It's got the Cali taco shop feel in a way and the Atmosphere is actually classy and nice. It's cashier service but they are always nice when I go. Some of the meals come with chips and some don't. Shout out to their California burrito as it's definitely one of the closet I have ever found outside of California. This place may not quite be a true 5 but for the area and all a 4 is undeserving as well.“

“I never had the pleasure of eating at the restaurant, but I buy their products regularly. I have found another way of using their flour tortillas. I used the smaller ones to make fried pies with. I warmed them up and I'm moisten. Ed the edges so I can seal the fruit Inn and cook them and a cast iron skillet.
Until golden brown they become flicky when they are fried and they work as good as anything I could ever dream of making from scratch. Try it you will love it. Of course, I've called a many other things I could stuff.
