Don't let its hole in the wall outer appearance fool you. This is a really good option for authentic mexican in the area. Diverse menu. Good beer. My dad and i came here twice when we stayed in anchorage for a week. One of the guy servers rocks at his job and deserves a raise.
Very good Mexican food restaurant reminds me of Arizona real authentic.

Pancho's Villa | Mexican Restaurant & Cantina is a cozy, well-ventilated spot on Spenard with a cute classic decor and dim yellow lights that create a very Mexico atmosphere. This true authentic Mexican restaurant serves a chicken quesadilla suiza with the right amount of spices, extra melted queso, and shredded chicken. The mild spicy and super spicy salsas are perfect, especially the habanero. The white meat chicken chimi has a delicious gravy sauce, and the tamal features super lovely lean pork with very thin mass. The enchilada sauce is smoky and flavorful. The scampi shrimp with mexican rice is a great choice. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they accommodate allergies. The portions are perfect, leaving everyone satisfied without feeling overstuffed. Definitely worth the money, this lil hole in the wall is the go to place for the best Mexican food.
