We were never greeted but others walking in were. They charged us for brisket then said they had none amd offered something else that was cheaper than what we already paid, food warmers get turned off at 3 but the food stays sitting there, so weird, my 2 sides and husband's 2 sides we cold and sad. The cat fish was the only decent item. The tartar sauce was straight mayonnaise, no flavor at all and the corn bread was dry and no flavor, it needed salt or butter or honey and it had nothing. The register lady gave my baby a bowl of mashed Potatoes for free, that was the only good thing abt this experience. The other men workers walking around and kept staring, it was weird vibes. Do not recommend at all. They favored an older couple over my family amd left us waiting longer, very upsetting. Gave our left overs to the homeless sitting outside the doors. Also the ribs were dry amd chewy

While in Anchorage last week for a conference, A few colleagues were looking for a place to have dinner. We stumbled upon Rosecoe's Food for the Soul. It was a blessing as Mr. Roscoe showed us great hospitality and excellent food. The Oxtails were everything. When Mr. Roscoe found out the following day was my birthday, he invited us back to celebrate the following night. What a time we had. Every Dish was amazing, and my colleagues who came with me were thoroughly pleased with the food and the warmth of the staff. Thank you, Mr. Roscoe, for making my birthday amazing. I highly recommend Roscoe's Food for the Soul if you are ever in Anchorage, Alaska. It is a cozy place overflowing with good food and good people. You would do yourself a favor to find this hidden gem in the city.

This establishment has awesome food. However since the midnight to 5:00 a.m. shenanigans has happened it has car shootings. Disturbances within the community. Three reported shootings and one death due to Roscoe's night time parties. Many people have come into the gas station with guns claiming rights to carry firearms next thing you know people are dying. Only reason this is the after party when bars close they have a DJ food all the drugs you want in the parking lot

Place looks gross, this restaurant has change too much for the bad. Is not even close to what was before. Not recommended at all. In others words "the food is terrible". Service is Superbad, staff doesn't looks clean and without hygiene. Won't be back ever there.

If you want some home bbq cooking, this is the spot. The customer service was top notch and even Roscoe came around to say hi to people which was very nice.I’ve never had catfish before and this was my first time trying it and it wasn’t too bad. You get a good size of fish and I had a combo with it with some ribs and those were yummy. Mac n cheese was cold which was weird to me but my kid ate it up and enjoyed it. The cornbread was a bit dry, I love cornbread so I was disappointed.We got just their free water to drink, the water tasted great and not weird like other places with tap.Clean establishment!

I wish my food would have came as the pictures that are on the internet. I ordered double meat special…was expecting a catfish fillet but got 5 little pieces of mostly breaded fish…the crumbs (left over fish) basically fried, pulled BBQ pork that had to be 1/2 a scoop with a dab of sauce on it, a better size scoop of green beans and collard greens (they were out of the dirty rice I wanted) and then a cup of okra for $4…couldn’t even fill the cup up?!?! And Campbells makes a better chicken and sausage gumbo, everything was cold except the sodas they were warm. All this for $43…a purchase I will not make again! It’s been years since I ate at Roscoes and it will be a few more years before I eat there again, if I do. This is just my opinion, maybe I just went there on a bad day. ??♀️

Great food, Sabrina was very helpful and knew the menu well. She provided great customer care and carefully placed our order. The atmosphere was relaxed with lots of space. Rosco even came over making sure we had a good experience! I had fish, greens , mac and cornbread with red kool-aid??. Made me feel at home.
