The service is amazing: friendly, attentive, and impressively quick without ever feeling rushed. Every part of the experience felt thoughtful and well-paced. The meal starts off perfectly with soup, salad, and edamame, which is such a comforting and satisfying way to begin.

The food is truly show-stopping. The lunch bento boxes are huge, seriously generous portions, and you’ll definitely have leftovers to enjoy later. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.

To top it all off, the meal ended with the most delicious cinnamon tea. It was warm, lightly sweet, and the perfect finishing touch to an already amazing meal. Sushi Garden is absolutely a place I’ll be coming back to again and again!“

“Chicken fried rice is the best! The mongolian chicken is good, but on the sweeter side so I always ask for it to be “less sweet.” My family loves the California roll. The ladies are always really nice! It is pricey, but it’s our favorite place.

“Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Atmosphere: 10/10 The sushi rolls were huge, raw fish wasn’t smelly, entrees were big including the kids plate (bento style). I found the prices very fair especially comparing them to Basil Ginger in the valley. We didn’t order a single roll over $20 and our favorite cooked one (spider) was only $15. The restaurant was pretty packed yet our food came out surprisingly fast for how many people were dining in. The waitress was on FIRE. Running around making sure everyone was good. She also gave us dessert at the end for free. Maybe it’s a thing but we were highly flattered and appreciative! It was great to eat at a clean establishment that also checked allll the other boxes too. My kids and I got up to leave and both noted “this place deserves a shining review!”. Highly recommend 🙂“

“Overall great, only one person working/cooking when arrived, but went in around 3.30-4pm. Another person showed up around 5pm. The gyoza was fresh tasted very good. Sushi had no complaints, salmon,tuna and yellowtail tasted as it should. Good flavor, and was spicy. Wasabi was very good, I believe to be more a more closer to plant Wasabi. Overall was very good, I'd highly recommend giving it a shot. Tons of different fish rolls to try!“

“I dont understand what all these other reviews are talking about with the automatically added gratuity. I just paid my bill and there was no auto gratuity. Service was good and the food was delicious! This was the first time I had sashimi, and it was fantastic! The sushi chef did great!“

“My daughter wanted Chinese food while we were in Anchorage to ice skate. Being unfamiliar with the local restaurants, we looked online. Having been spoiled by truly amazing Asian food in the past, we chose China Lights. We were not disappointed! The food was beautiful and awesome! Very colorful and flavorful. The restaurant was clean and the had a joyful feel. The owner and wait-staff were attentive, kind, and showed a true enjoyment of their jobs. Miss Tracy was genuinely super kind to my daughter and I. Going to a place where people really enjoy what they do makes a big difference in the overall experience! Definitely added to my favorite stops list in Anchorage.“

“The food was good and the sushi tasted fresh, but the experience wasn’t perfect. We had to wait quite a while before being seated, even though the place didn’t look overly busy. The menu also felt a bit limited — not as many options as I expected.

Overall, the dishes we did get were tasty and the service was friendly once we were seated, but there’s definitely room for improvement. Solid place, just not a full five-star visit this time.“
