“OK. This might be a little long/different type post from me but I want to give a big plus to a waitress. We were in Fairbanks Alaska at The Pump House. We were taken care of by not just a good, not a great but my all time best server I have ever had. Her name is Jenna. I want to say that she is my all time best and favorite waitress in my 77 years of being. The food and ambiance were also good. But Jenna was fantastic Thank you Jenna”

“The prime rib was good. Wife had the fish. Salad bar was pretty clean and no shortage of toppings. It is not a cheap spot, but definitely well worth it. Would recommend the cheesey potatoes. It's their baked potatoes mashed up with cheeses gives a lot of texture. Very rich. Don't count the calories.”

“We have been to The Greens a few times and always thrilled with the service, the food, and the atmosphere! Would recommend 100%! That said, last night was the first time we were seated in the overflow room in the back. For a fine dining experience, this space could use a little cosmetic love. There were scuff marks on the wall, wiring conduit falling from the ceiling, and no soft music or anything. A coat of paint, some nice artwork, maybe some candles and soft music, and it would be just as nice as the main dining area. Just our two cents. Still, we will return again and again, love this restaurant.”

“First time trying the fruit crepes today and it is sooooo delicious. I highly recommend trying them out. I order the beef lo-mein and keep seeing the crepes but always scared to try them. So glad I bought it ate half and can eat the other half later. 5 star from me.”

“I'm am currently stuffing my face with Salty's biscuits and gravy and I cannot say enough great things about this breakfast.
The biscuits are the best I've ever had in my life smothered in an amazing sausage gravy with chunks of sausage. They don't short you on the gravy yet it's not too much to take away from the biscuits.
My order was done quickly and the staff was extremely nice and helpful.
This is my go to breakfast anytime I come to Fairbanks from now on. Get you some!!!”

“It’s McDonald’s. It’s exactly what you expect. I’ve never had an issue with my order and everyone has always been polite. Sure, the dining area gets messy during busy hours but that’s to be expected.”

“What a very nice and warm pit-stop halfway up the Dalton highway. Nestled right in-between a small post office and a tire shop, they have a set menu in addition to having a breakfast buffet and a dinner buffet and very reasonable prices. It was like $16 for an all you can eat breakfast with drinks. The staff was super nice and there is a large bathroom on site. Gas can be purchased outside at over a dollar a gallon cheaper than Deadhorse. Plus, the Arctic Visitor Center is almost straight across the road. That is also a nice stop.”

Cold Sapporo beer, amazing nigiri (salmon and yellowtail) and friendly waitresses. One even ran outside to grab us before we left b/c my mom accidentally left her credit card. Cannot say enough on how positive this dining experience was.”

The dogs are gourmet-style, loaded with creative toppings, and always cooked to perfection—my favorites are the Borealis and the Break-Up. Prices are a little higher than your average dog, but totally worth it for the quality and flavor. The owners are incredibly friendly and make the experience even better. “Sunrise is a breakfast staple for us in Fairbanks. My husband loves their 'The works Breakfast Burrito' with salsa & I love their 'No Meat Breakfast Burrito' with salsa.
They've got great drinks like white chocolate or English toffee Breve, or their half spicy/half vanilla Chai latte, matcha, or just regular lattes. There are TONS of syrup flavors and drinks to choose from and they're really great at getting our food and drinks out fast, hot, and they get the order right. There's the main menu, and then there are always tons of signs at the order window that mention specials like july drink specials or biscuits and gravy.
And for Fairbanks, they're really affordable.
Definitely stop by for a try if you haven't already, and ask for a loyalty card if you're a fan too.”

“I wanted to take my Granddaughter to a nice sushi restaurant since in our extended family she and I are the only sushi eaters. I would get sushi rolls and share with her from the grocery store but we had to go into Fairbanks for a dental appointment for her so we had a day of having fun. They open at 11:00 which fit my schedule so I decided to go to Kanpai. I ordered a bento box with sushi to "share." It was amazing. I commercial fish in Ketchikan and I can tell when fish was handled correctly; it was. I had her go to the counter to watch how the food was prepared and she loved it. The chef was gracious and deftly demonstrated the preparation for her. My wife doesn't eat raw fish so she got tempura instead and it was excellent. They also gave our granddaughter special training chop sticks that she got to take home! To top it off, the chef made a koala out of an orange for her dessert! Did she ever feel special. I highly recommend Kanpai for a special meal. The bubble wall kept her mesmerized and the playing grand piano added to the fine atmosphere. All the staff were exceptional.”

“I can’t say enough about this place. It helped provide entertainment, great food, and great drinks while we waited for our next Alaskan adventure during our week long visit. I have to give a very special shout-out to Denaeuh. If you get a chance, don’t leave Fairbanks without spending time with her at the bar in Pike’s Landing restaurant. She’s a genuine person with outstanding customer service and hospitality. Her drinks, food recommendations, service, and conversation were excellent! If/when we come back, we will seek out this restaurant and service with Denaeuh. Overall… I highly recommend. It’s a great place!”

“I've been there on frequent occasions and the food has always been excellent. There are a couple of times I have been there and noticed chow mein noodles had alot more cabbage in them than should have been. But I have no complaints. And I will be back again very soon!”

Having eaten there before myself at HooDoo I knew the food was good. We had the Schnitzel Sandwich, Wieners with sauerkraut, and the Käze Spätze. So much good food and the service was amazing! I am originally from The Netherlands and grew up near the German border and eating German food at our German friend’s home down the street. This brought back memories. Thank you for the pretzels, we definitely enjoyed those as well as soon as we got home and we got enough left for lunch tomorrow. Konrad, you are a gem to the community.
