“Lovely restaurant in Seward. Small selection of menu but great choices. We ordered the shrimp appetizer, white salmon entrée & some chocolate dessert - everything to share. We weren’t extremely hungry. Food tasted brilliant and so fresh! Dessert was okay. Nevertheless, would highly recommend this place.“
“We love coming to the Flamingo when in town. Their burgers and food are great, ambience is moody and unique, and unique, fun cocktails. Our service this evening wasn't top notch, our food was delivered before drinks and fries came out later in the meal, our check was delivered while we were still eating, and had to flag our server down for refills. Seemed a little short staffed.“
“What a wonderful gem in Seward. Service was friendly and so helpful and the food was stellar.Had the halibut bites and thought it was the best Halibut dish we experienced in town. Finished with the bread pudding which was a delicious treat. We will be back soon.FYI - this seems to be the restaurant that replaced Ms. Genes Place.“
“Food was good. Service great. It was open in November in Seward, that's a plus for it. Pricey but, it is the "off" season so we didn't have very many choices for a reasonable sit down meal. Parking was a bit confusing for an out of towner... We got there though. Ample portions. If the French dip hadn't had a chunk of fat in it that stopped me from eating half of it, five stars would of been given. Again, open in November in Seward! A big plus.“
“We ate here a few times while in town. The halibut I personally had was really good, as were the fries. But, I can’t necessarily say it was worth $45, beverage and gratuity not included.. For pizza, milkshake and serving of wine it was $65. But the location was convenient and food was overall good. It was takeout only.“
“You have got to visit this place if you like smoked fish. The owner, Jim, is a "mad scientist" making the BEST SMOKED FISH on the planet. Not only do you get to taste test, but he may even give you a tour of his "lab" like he did for me. Right now I'm eating one of his treasures 2 weeks after we retured home to Chicago and I felt the need to give a review about how wonderful my experience was at Saltwood Smokehouse in Seward, AK..“
