“I live on Maui but am in Alaska visiting family. My niece and I decided to give Ohana Grindz in Wasilla a try to see if it compared to the local food on Maui. We were very pleased with our choices - the Chicken Curry, Kalbi Ribs, and Korean Chicken were delicious. Even the sides (Mac Salad and Corn) were great. The portions were large and prices were reasonable making Ohana Grindz a great value for our money. The customer service exceeded expectations. We highly recommend Ohana Grindz and we will be ordering from them again.”

“i have been coming here since i was a kid. the BEST bread in the world — the BEST sandwiches in the world!!! i usually get the turkey club. their dressing on the veggies is a perfect ratio and you can get 4 servings of sandwich out of their large. exceptional the next day even, the bread holds up!! i was home for a couple weeks and absolutely had to bring my partner here and he agreed that the sandwiches here are an institution.

“Taco's Cancun is a perfect balance of quality, atmosphere, and value. I have been Alaskan since 2002, but came from the Pacific Northwest and was fortunately exposed to some travel and dining. Unless you are a total snob who hates people having fun doing a great job and being around happy customers, you can't go wrong at Taco's Cancun in Wasilla, Alaska. I brought a picky eater there today after a 6 day stay in the hospital and a major surgery. It was a first for her. The experience made her happy and feel better. Hands down, they are awesome. Our servers were all top notch tonight too. I need to go back so I can recall their names.

Biscuit and gravy(YES, YES,any time of the day) I put the gravy on their breakfast burritos, my absolute favorite(makes me cheat on my diet) is pork chilorio taco ( they are so delicious) The list goes on seriously people their food is bomb. Don’t walk, run and check them out. The location they serve is also amazing. Band of Brothers)”

“Today was our second visit to Larsens Pizza Joint in Wasilla. They have great sandwiches, the bread is the magic and it makes everything taste so yummy. For the light eaters, you can share the sandwiches and if you want the whole thing, you beyter bring your big man appetite. The salad bar is the best, I've found in the valley, so far. Had the pizza on our first visit. Tasty toppings and the crust that makes it extra special. We like the prices and big servings. Great food at a fair price. We will be back with more family members.”

“I have been there 3 times, this evening was the last. The 1st time I ordered Pad Thai and it was delicious, fresh, the peanuts were in the middle, it was even got when I got home, 25 miles north of Willow. the 2nd, I ordered Pad Pug. it was good, not that many fresh veggies, but very tasty and fresh. Then there was today. I ordered Pad Thai again, to go as I always do. I calles the order in, it was ready in less than 10 minutes this time and it didn't feel warm. I got home and it was a dried out mess, nothing fresh. The container had a melted spot on a corner and the bottom of the container was a bright kind of orange, that happens when you put food that's in a styrofoam container in a microwave, it kind of cooks into it. There was no sauce, it was all soaked into the noodles and Styrofoam, and the noodles were dried out and chewy. The chicken was dry as was the shrimp. I was so looking forward to what I got the 1st time. Instead I got leftovers. I had been going to the Susitna Bar and Grill in Houston, but they closed for winter. For Thai, I'll just wait for them to re-open, I will never go to Pattaya again.”

“Heather made us some delicious breads and cookies. I've never had sourdough that was quite this delicious. We had both traditional and sourdough everything. It all had such great flavor. She also allowed us to purchase an afghan she had entered in the state fair and made us another one for my grandson. I gave her few guidelines and she came up with an incredible pattern and colors. Heather has an incredible talent and we'll enjoy these afghans for generations as the quality will hold up so much better than anything commercially made.”

The barista, cherish, was very helpful and tried her best to help while having a long line and being the only barista there. She let me know that everyone else has gone for the day and her lead was still being trained. She called her old lead and tried to get answers. Overall good experience given the circumstance.”
