Very, very good food & the staff is so friendly. We eat at Local Joe's often and have never had a bad meal. Love the onion rings & the BBQ is always delicious. The pimento cheese & homemade pork rinds are out of this world.
We've been many times now and always love it. We drive about 45 minutes regularly to go. The smoked chicken and smoked sausage are my favorites! But I've never had anything subpar. Can't wait to try the breakfast buffet.
Food servings sizes very small for the price Friendly atmosphere. Do not like the automated tip generator on the electronic payment device if I want a tip that's fine I want to tell but I don't want to feel pressure from some

This will rate two visits in same week as monthly visitors to the area since sep2022 we wanted to try another "new" local place. The reviews sealed the deal. Our first visit was a Wednesday afternoon. Food hit the mark, service was cordial but not inviting. We brought 5 others on Friday night. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food-no complaints. Service was good service. Well, can't be picky about service these days. But here's the kicker. We told a cashier to ask the waitress to bring us the bill. She said well just ask her, but I winced and said plainly "we prefer it to be private". The nice hostess spoke up and said she would take care of it. Obviously she did (clap) but get this. The very UNCOOL waitress came to the table with her little tablet, asked if we wanted anything else and proudly announced standing next to my husband, the tab is $$$.Not cool! Not cool. The pulled pork, the cornbread, Mac & cheese, ribs, fried pies and homemade chips will bring us back. ?

Ribs & sliced chicken were very tasty! And sides loaded baked potato salad and fried okra very good also! Neat atmosphere and attentive staff.
