We had the voodoo pasta and a blackberry pork chop special. Both were out of this world delicious. Nice atmosphere and we had a great time. Service was great considering there were prom night large groups in there.

It's one of my favorite places. I go here often, most recently I had the"seafood risotto" lunch special. It was not good at all. The risotto was so undercooked it was crunchy, and there was really no flavor. The "seafood" was two scallops and 4 shrimp. There were tomatoes, mushrooms, and spinach. The portion was pretty small, and it was $24. I'm pretty sad about this experience

The number of times I’ve enjoyed pasta made by someone other than me are virtually nonexistent. The kitchen staff at Effina’s deserve all the praise they receive. The food is properly seasoned and carefully prepared.I highly recommend the “Voodoo Pasta,” better than anything I’ve had in NYC/Italy and anywhere else. If you are looking for something for a little less carb content the ribeye is perfectly seasoned.The prices are appropriate, staff friendly, and atmosphere reflects much of the southern renaissance felt throughout the downtown Anniston area.

The atmosphere is nice, neat how they reclaim kitchen tables and chairs. The food was really good the fried artichoke hearts with ranch, the voodoo pasta, and the cheese tortellini Alfredo with chicken. Definitely will be back when I’m the mood for Italian pasta dishes. I would definitely come here over Olive Garden.

I don't ever write reviews but this place is worth mentioning. I have eaten at this establishment dozens of times. I have left satisfied every single time. I grew up around the anniston/oxford area and have tried almost every restaurant in and out of town.In terms of price vs quality of food, it astonishes me why anyone would even remotely go to olive garden when they can get spectacular and obviously better italian food for less than what olive garden charges now post covid.Unbelievably, it tastes like every dish I have eaten here is made just for me. Effina's has ruined a lot of other restaurants for me at this point because this place has set the bar.I have travelled to Hawaii, Alaska and in between and eaten at many many MANY places with outstanding offerings. But there is a beauty in simplicity. And to do simple pasta sauces so well just makes me happy.In summary, Effina's is the best food in town bar none.
