“Today, after I ordered, we were told there were no more sweet potatoes. I was disappointed; then, someone (perhaps, he was one of the owners) gave me, I guess, a partial serving ( I think it was what was left) of the sweet potatoes. In my opinion, that was very nice; then, he said that I could still order another item from the vegetable list.”

“Menu variety, staff service. We stopped by on our way to Tuscaloosa and we’re delighted by the helpfulness of the owner, the food quality, and the wide array of choices. The interior is pleasant and warm, and if we hadn’t been on the road I could see having a lovely book club meeting or a quick lunch for 2 here. Great ambiance, great service. She prepared six meals to last the week, and my brother-in-law appreciated the gesture. It proved to be an exceptional gift! I appreciate everything, Fatimah. “Let me start this review by saying our server "Flo" was not only hospitable but so sweet. I immediately felt taken care of as she explained the menu to my grandmother with a friendly and reassuring smile. I ordered "The Hawaiian" which was a sizzling fajita plate with steak and pineapple as well as the usual mix of peppers and onions. It came out hot, seasoned and delicious. The portion was hefty and the three soft tortillas included with the meal were not only wrapped in foil to retain heat, they were soft and fresh. Couldn't recommend this place more!”

This guy can cook! I was seriously impressed when we went there Sunday afternoon. My medium-well eggs were perfectly done... And most people can't seem to do that. The staff was friendly and accommodating, but not intrusive. Food was excellent. This experience really changed my mind about "Awful" House.

I'm really looking forward to going to this Waffle House again this weekend. Hope the same staff is there and the experience is just as good.”

We discovered a coffee shop serving food, karaoke, theme days like Taco Tuesdays, etc. We had our hands full already from our walk today and were not able to get much, but we ordered coffee and hot chocolate, and let me tell you, I am picky about my hot chocolate. I am hooked from the first sip of it. Plan on going there tomorrow for lunch.”

“Whenever I get a high test score, my grandfather drives me out and lets me get a whole basket full of pastries, and it’s never more than $30 for the whole lot. The best part- they aren’t expired. We call it “The Day-Old Bread Store,” but everything is dated at least a month ahead of when you buy it. I highly recommend this as your go-to pantry stuffer store”

Absolutely no pizza chain ever gives us enough anchovy fillets per slice... until this Marco's opened back up. I was pleasantly surprised. It is a full 180 compared to when it was open a few years ago. They're taking business seriously this time, so far.”
