World Famous Alabama Owl Bar • $

“This was one of my father's favorite bars in Bessemer. He is now deceased but I will never forget the last day that I seen him alive. He was at Alabama Al's drinking as usual and I went by then he came out to see all the grandkids it was getting close to Christmas time and he was asking them all what they wanted for Christmas. He was also grabbing at his chest and trying to turn away from me so I didn't see but I did and I asked him daddy what's wrong he said nothing just got the heart burn.I could tell it was more &begged him 2go 2Dr.but he hated going 2the Hospital or Dr.He was hard headed-Yep that's where I get it from.. my dad really enjoyed going in to this bar and talkin I'm cutting out with his friends our so-called friends that went in there this was one of the mini bars in Bessemer that he enjoyed hanging out at. Since then they have redone the place and made it a lot better they serve alcohol beverages as well as beer, they have karaoke, pool tournaments,It's a nice place 2watch Football Games.Theres usually the same group of people there, the don't serve food IS the down side. Most the bartenders there are very friendly&keep the place under control. If you're in Bessemer stop by&see 4yourself.“

Diablo's Southwest Grill Mexican • $
4867 Promenade Pkwy #105, Bessemer

“Today we had my grandmothers funeral and had Diablo's for catering for the wake. It was a hit! The food was fantastic, they were on time and provided everything we needed (cups/silverware/plates). And the communication was great! We ordered the Deluxe Taco Bar and it was plenty for everyone! It came with all the different assortments of toppings that even the picky eaters enjoyed it. Also the price for it isn't bad at all. We would definitely recommend them for catering and will be using them again!“

604 Bar and Lounge Bar •
604 9th St N, Birmingham

“604 is like going to that friend or cousin’s house that loves to entertain. The atmosphere and people were down to earth and had a real “professional by day” vibe. The bar had a wide variety to choose from including an amazing signature drink. There was great music playing throughout. Inside were tables and TVs where you could chill and watch a game. There was an upstairs with a dance floor. They also have a nice patio with plenty of comfortable seating and some games if you’re into that. In addition, the bathrooms were nice and clean. All in all, “that MF was jumpin!” They taught me that lol. 10/10 would recommend!“

“I was on my way to be a guest on the Blerd Survival Guide podcast and I had a little time to kill so I popped up over to The Electric after being told many times to try it. So what are the odds that this place was only 3 minutes from my destination! Anyways I popped in and checked out the inside and it was a very cool, comfortable, and hype like establishment. I put my order in online and didn't go in until it was the said time they gave me on the order. When I went in my food wasn't ready and so I had to wait probably another 30 minutes. Staff was working hard though so I wasn't stressing about it to hard. Staff was nice and offered me water while I waited. I finally get my food head back to the car and proceeded to unbox everything. I gotta admit that visually the food looked very good. First up I had the Classic which is a Flatbread that consists of pepperoni, conecuh sausage, mozzarella, provolone cheese, and basil. This ended up being very good. Nothing crazy to wow about but it definitely got the job done. Flavors were decently balanced I think my only grip with this is the pizza sauce could use a bit more work. I still would other this again anyways so don't let that stop you. 7.5/10 Lastly I got The Ballpark which consisted of country sausage, chili, cheddar cheese, yellow mustard, scallions, and hugged tight in a toasted bun. This was probably my favorite thing. The chili was so hot and tasted as if it was homemade. If it's not homemade I want to known where they buy it because it was pretty darn good. I'd eat it on its own! The sausage was very flavorful as well. The only issue with this was the bun it's definitely well toasted it was way to hard for me and shredded the roof of my mouth I would personally change the bun to something else but that'd just me. Either way this bad boy is a will order again and I give it a 8.5/10. Definitely go try this place when you get the chance it was really good and I hope I can come back soon!“

“Had a lovely time here and will definitely be revisiting. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was wonderful! Lovely location we were able to walk to from Ross Bridge. It was nice to have an indoor or outdoor option to sit in, and the noise level was low even for a packed dinner time.“
