Bessemer is a gritty industrial area. Imagine our surprise at finding the best vegan restaurant of our lives there. We shared the mushroom burger and chic'un burrito. Burger and just about everything else homemade. The best we've had anywhere. We had sides of field peas and (baked) sweet potato fries. She does not fry, just bake. It was a wait because it's only the owner/chef and people walk in and call for carryout. Well worth the wait. She calls it "vegan soul food". So delicious and hearty.

Tried this place for the first time and can’t wait to return! When I walked in the door the owner was super sweet and very attentive to each customer that came in. I definitely felt welcomed!! I ended up getting the mushroom burger with sweet potato fries and the Philly chicken wrap with buffalo cauliflower which were both amazing. Sis is in the kitchen putting her heart and soul into this food. Totally exceeded my expectations!!!

Pretty sure I've reviewed this place before, but I love it so much I'm doing it again. DELICIOUS food and smoothies -- healthy, fresh, AND made with love, you can just tell. My lunch today = the farmer's market wrap (!) with butter beans (!) and the yellow gold smoothie with ginger and sea moss added (!). I would rather come here once a month, as a special treat, than go to cheaper food joints four times in a month. Really grateful to have this place here.

Discovered this gem while searching yelp for a local place for lunch. We were traveling and tired of fast food. The restaurant was a little off of our route, but I'm so happy we decided to check it out. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. And the food... amazing! While I'm not vegan, I can definitely appreciate good food. The millionaire burger was flavorful and filling. If I'm ever back this way I will seek out this place for another great meal!

We were in town for a tennis tournament and needed a good vegan restaurant for lunch. Found this place through google; the reviews were great so we decided to give it a try. I must say the reviews are dead on, because this place is amazing! I had the mushroom bacon cheese burger and my husband had the chicken sandwich and both were delicious! Service and food were great! We will definitely be back when we come to Birmingham! Give this place a try; you will not be disappointed!

We were in Alabama for a conference and while there we were so blessed to have found this little gem of a place. The atmosphere was kind and caring and the food was ridiculously delicious. It’s a 6 hour drive from my home ? But if we are ever in Alabama again, we will definitely be stopping by.
