This is probably(?) the most upscale Italian restaurant in Birmingham.I ordered shrimp risotto as an appetizer, and for mains I ordered basic pasta and New York strip steak. As you can see, the risotto has a small amount of rice and is very salty, but not to the point of being inedible. The pasta and steak were really delicious. We ate at Bottega dining room a couple of weeks ago and I’m still dreaming about it. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable about the food and wine, and seem to genuinely care that guests enjoy their experience. At our table, we tried the Parmesan grits, the steak, a roasted chicken dish and fish coated in marcona almonds. All were superb.
