i was on a roadtrip when i stopped by here for a drink and a lil food at the bar late on a monday evening. I've never been to Alabama before. the bartender was kind and friendly in a way that I assume is southern. On the west coast my northeastern sensibilities make me feel aggressive and superior. fuck those californians with their fake niceness and dumb tans, i don't like it. but the southern kindness, when it hits, is sort of just off putting. i don't know how to be friendly...read full review
We pivoted to here on a recent Friday night after seeing that our original choice was too crowded and are mostly glad we did. The space is lovely so that was nice. Food was decent (if pricey) and service was fairly attentive. My husband got a steak and I got red snapper, both were fine. In fact, "fine" is pretty much the defining word for me here - it's not someplace I would make a huge effort to return when next in town, but you could definitely do worse?!

We stayed at the Valley Hotel and didn't eat here but we grabbed some cocktails which were delish. The bar staff was prompt and efficient. And they have comfy chairs inside to sit and enjoy while we sipped.
