Wonderful food, welcoming staff and a warm southern environment. A great place for a Sunday afternoon meal with family and friends. The fried green tomatoes are some of the best around.
We went on a Friday and they were pretty busy. Food was really good. Loved their sweet potatoe casserole and the collards. You had a choice between 3 meats and about 8 to 10 vegetables. (I had 4 and all were good). Yes it is a little pricey for lunch, but we'll worth it as it's so hard to find good home style cooking. I'm very picky on my tea and was so glad I tried it here! Pleased with items we ordered for thanksgiving dinner. Turkey & gravy were good and much easier than we could do. The STAR was the sweet potato soufflé- outstanding and everyone loved it. Cornbread dressing also good - not as good as our cornbread oyster dressing but perfect for those who don’t want oysters. We go here for lunch often so I knew the dressing & sweet potato.
