What a nice locally owned mini donut shop! I tried the Boston crème and the strawberry with Sons sauce donuts. They were both so good but Boston crème was my fav for sure! There were a few other flavors that caught my eye so I will definitely be coming back to try some more flavors soon.While the price is a bit higher than chain donut shops, Sons is a locally owned business and makes the donuts fresh to order.

Sons Donuts came to serve food at my church's college/youth night with their food truck and not a single person I talked with had any form of criticism (unless it was the small issue of "being too sweet", which has never resonated with me). They have a variety of products including donuts, locally roasted coffee, espresso, pops, and a milk bar with house-made flavored milk shots. I actually don't remember the name of what I ordered because I asked the cashier for the exact same thing as whatever my friend ahead of me ordered. I received what seemed like two cinnamon donuts, a strawberry jelly donut, and a caramel donut. Their donuts are miniature, which is very cute but also dangerous because you can eat so many without realizing how many calories you are intaking! I also ordered their iced coffee which was unfortunately a little too bitter, but good for those who are big fans of coffee. I actually loved their diverse array of donuts so much that I went back to the "counter" and asked where they were located so I could support their business more often. I was told that they have a permanent location, which brought me so much joy and I'm excited to go check it out. But for now, my review only entails the food truck. It seemed to be very clean and organized. The cashier as well as the people preparing the food in the back were extremely kind and responsive. Although the line was incredibly long (because no college student will say no to free food), it was worth every minute standing in line, and the delivery was very quick despite the demand.

I'm not usually a huge donut fan which is exactly the reason why someone like me should be coming here! I know, I know you're probably saying that doesn't make sense but you'll understand once you come here! The donuts are mini sized and extremely shareable. They're made fresh and in house. You have a variety of glazed and powdered donuts to choose from. We came in a group so we did 12 minis for $15 which allows you to do 4 different flavors. Service is super quick and we ended getting the donuts for the road. Have come here maybe 2-3 times and will definitely be back!

Service: It was not too busy when we went, and our donuts came out warm and quickly! Food: We ordered the Strawberry Sugared Donuts with Sons Sauce. The donuts were warm and crispy. The strawberry sugar was both tart and sweet and paired well with the Sons Sauce, which was a passion fruit and lemon curd sauce. Overall: Stop by Sons Donuts for a sugary treat if you're in the Mountain Brook area. Though a little pricey, we enjoyed the Strawberry Sugared Donuts and will come back to try other flavors in the future!

I suppose if you came in and bought a bunch of flavors, it'd be more worth your while, but for an individual looking for a donut snack, it's pricey for sure.
