“Stopped for a bathroom break and smelled the food all the way outside. Hubbie had the smoked wings, greens and baked beans. I had ribs, Mac n cheese and chicken and broccoli casserole. Everything was delicious and hot! We are determined to stop back on the way from Nola!”

Unsure who Mrs. J is, but apparently she enjoys being rude when half of your order is left off. Ordering over $40 worth of food and getting home to some of it missing & sending my son back up there to get what was left off only for him to be spoken to like he’s an idiot and lying about it. I have no reason to lie about all the sides being left off the family meal I ordered. It’s so hit or miss at this location..”

“We've been many times. Every visit the people are very nice. The food taste great. Seasoned perfectly and the fluffiest rice I've ever eaten. Portion size is very good, and I usually end up taking some home. Great selection of food too. My favorite place in town.”

“What an incredible hidden gem!
I have enjoyed 10+ tex-mex joints in Texas for all these years.
But this little shop is by far one of the most authentic and filling place.
Flavorful steak, crispy fried shrimp and tender chicken.
Tl;dr Do recommend! Will visit again!”

“Yall don’t be sleeping on this place . Should have people line out the door ! Not kidding . I don’t give reviews often . But when I say 5 stars I mean 500 stars cause it was some of the best food we’ve had in a long time . Not packaged it’s fresh . Husband had the catfish grilled it was great I had the smoked chicken and this cheese grits . And look don’t sleep on the Mac cheese cause I didn’t even order it and got it by mistake and it was the best mistake ever !!!! Can’t wait to go back for the steaks . Amazing food !!! We need to keep this place around . Can’t say enough good . And the sweet tea was good . And everyone can’t make sweet tea just saying . Go ! Do your self a favor !”

“Woahhhh…. What an amazing pit stop…if your rollin thru Roll Tide nation in Rammer Bammer….check out this place when you fill up with gas. It’s right off the interstate. I didn’t expect this country fried steak, okra, taters n gravy and fried green tomatoes to be this excellent but it exceeded our expectations. And it was SO clean clean…. Like probably the cleanest gas station/eatery I’ve ever visited. You feel like your in come cool hip upscale diner. Not like a typical gas station/food combo eatery. It was fantastic.”
