First it's a small place without a cashier, and servers. We only saw one person, Jeff. Very friendly. Wasn't busy. The place feels homie. House salad was better than most chain restaurants. Then the steak, rib eye was cooked as ordered and was very good. Which my wife is picky and she enjoyed it. I got a big bacon burger. It is big and it had more than a couple of pieces of bacon. Crispy crunchy bacon with enough to taste. Burger was great. We'll be back!

Hard pass. I have almost over 500 Google reviews, mostly restaurants, and this is only the 2nd time I have turned on my heels and walked out, chiefly because of the vibe...and I LIKE greasy spoon hole in the wall dives. But this was too redneck even for me. Maybe was all the political posters plastered out front. Who knows. Stopped in solely to see if 1) business was open and 2) if served b'fast or lunch only (no cars in front zero ppl there aside from the one out front smoking and the one who was smoking cigs inside--the proprietor I assumed) and was answered with "Well it is a restaurant." If you say so pal, but not one that can't get beyond a 1 or 2-star review. Not from me anyhow.

Google and huge sign outside on porch said they should be open, but it was not. (Not a holiday) Also, if it happens to not be shutdown for good, another sign said CASH ONLY!

Please don't let the humble appearance fool you! This place. Has got. Some GOOD freaking food! Husband got the fried chicken, fried green tomatoes and slaw (just like my Granny used to make) and I stole some. Then I stole some more. All in between bites of my own GIANT double bacon cheeseburger! I was aggressively happy! Then I ran out of room in my stomach. And that made me sad. Then I remembered I'll have it for later. Then I was aggressively happy again.Husband says the chicken makes him think of what the original KFC would have probably tasted like when they first started up and were serving up fresh, seasoned, delicious fried chicken!I would move out here just to eat at this place every freaking day of my life.Jeff and Von's in Cordova Alabama. Jeff cooks, Von serves you up. This is home cooking at its finest!Vegetarian options: Their vegetables are delicious! Tastes like everything is homegrown as well as homemade!Parking: Parking directly in front of the building and along the side of the road. Road curves in a "U" in front, and doubles back so there's no having to turn around to get out and go the way you came. Easy, free parking and fluid traffic flow coming and going.Kid-friendliness: I saw a couple of toys in the corner to help keep kids entertained, as well as a tv going in the corner. Kid options on menu. It's a very mom and pop place where it feels like kids should be at every table kicking their feet and laughing.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp and blue space beside it for ease of access

Jeff & Von’s Place just served me one of the best bacon cheeseburgers I’ve had in a long time. All the way with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, pickles, ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard. It was cooked fresh to order. Fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Sweet tea was on point. Perfect meal all the way around. Owners were very friendly and hospitable. Really enjoyed chatting with locals too. Will visit again as I drive through.

Great food and friendly service. This place is not far from the highway and worth the stop. We had breakfast. Steaming hot coffee, perfect bacon egg n cheese sandwich, fried taters like grandma's, western omelette with fresh peppers onions and tomatoes. 10 out of 10. They were demolished by a tornado but they've come back strong! Also very clean restroom I will return!
