14 Best Ice Cream Shops near Florence

“Trowbridge's Ice Cream (Shop) is probably one of my most favorite little restaurants ever. They have amazing burgers and obviously their Ice Cream is amazing, but you can't visit or eat there without ordering an Old Fashioned Milkshake! It is definitely a landmark and a little jewel of a sock hop style diner in the heart of Downtown Florence!! If you visit the area it's a MUST TRY!“

“What a delightful surprise to find this truly fantastic home made ice cream shop! Absolutely delicious, creamy textured ice creams with an abundance of flavors to choose from.
I had the Lemon Pie that had “crust” pieces in it. So refreshing and good! My husband tried the Carmel and Reeces flavors and loved them too!
Stop in and get yourselves a cup or cone of creamy happiness….you won’t be disappointed! Enjoy“

“Always Excellent Food, Delicious 🥰“

“Me and my boyfriend had went today, the ice cream was THE BOMB, including the price. Extremely affordable, the customer service was on point, super sweet (just like the ice cream) and the inside is Super cute. Definitely gained two new customers.“

“I’ve asked 2 people nicely for my cup and they just stared at me blankly. I understand the profession is hard, but you need a little bit of personality. Food is decent. I’ll consider this location again.“

“The first time I went to Yogurt Mountain in Florence, I was talking with the lady out front about the flavors they had. She took the time to me about the flavors, and that they had the original tart yogurt, which most places don't typically have. They had great toppings to choose.

She told me that I could call 1 to 2 days early and get a 32 oz yogurt of my choice for like $10 to $11. For me, that is a great price!

Thank you, Kinley, for taking care of me. You exceeded expectations for me! You took the time to help me! I'm already a repeat customer because of you! I hope your boss gives you kudos for your awesome attention to your customers!“

“Fast service and friendly staff. I love their food but their grilled cheeses are basically steamed bread and cheese. They don't appear grilled at all. But overall, a terrific place to eat!Update: Due to lack of workers, only the drive thru is open. They are doing the best they can in today's environment“

“I ordered an ice cream cake on March 9th to be picked up March 14th. I got there to pick it up & was kept waiting at least 5 minutes while, I assume, they were looking for it. When they got back to me, the manager asked me when I ordered it & when I told him he said, "I can't even find any paper on it!" like that was some how MY fault. Then he asked me what kind of cake it was & said, "I DON'T EVEN HAVE THE STUFF TO MAKE!" Again, this MY fault? How? There was no apology, no offer of a cake they did have, no NOTHING! Bad karma. I won't ever be back nor will my family. I will tell everyone I know how truly awful my service was & encourage them to go anywhere else.“

“carhop: Ash check no: 170450 @ 7:43pm 9/12 (just a few minutes ago). My order was $9.50. I gave her a $20. she only gives $10.05 back (should've been $10.50). so I shouldn't have even tipped the other $1 since she had tipped herself already. and my shake was supposed to be "STRAWBERRY" cheesecake, but apparently they only put it in as a cheesecake shake 🤦‍♂️. yeah.....pathetic is the word.“

“Great customer service, larger scoops than I expected and the ice cream is delicious!“

“Everything is delicious and they have a great variety of food and ice cream! My fave is the toasted peanut butter and banana with a little mayo sandwich (Elvis Presley special)! Give them a try.“

“Love this place honestly one of the best places to go here in Alabama!!!“

“We took a quick late night trip to our local Dairy Queen to take advantage of buy a Blizzard get a Blizzard for 99 cents coupon we were given several weeks ago. Service at the drive-thru was fast and the Blizzards were exactly what we ordered.“

“At least put the meat on the burger. You could forget lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, etc, but how do you not put the burger patty on a burger???? Also, once you leave a comment about how badly they messed up your food, they'll delete your comment and restrict you from commenting. They'll only allow praises to be seen on their posts. Update 11/21/22: My daughter's medium CC fries were not the size that I paid for.“
