The owner went out of her way to satisfy our request. We wanted two cake donuts with chocolate icing. They were about to close, and there were none available. However, there were two un-iced cake donuts. She took them into the back, reheated the chocolate vat, and made them as requested. Now that's service, above and beyond. They are now OUR donut stop, and pastries as well.
Fultondale Bakery is my favorite in the Birmingham area! Their donuts are amazing! Super soft, delicious glaze, great frosted/assorted flavors. Baked fresh every morning - when you go early, they are still warm. They aren’t open very long because they sell everything quick! Be prepared with cash or check - they have no need to conform with credit cards - everyone happily complies (probably makes the donuts taste better).

This is absolutely the best bakery in the South. Everything on the menu is absolutely amazing from the cookies, brownies, donuts, cakes to the breakfast biscuits and sausage pastries. Not only do they create these delicious sweet masterpieces, these ladies have amazing customer service and have a great family friendly atmosphere.
