My mom is a California native and a tamale fanatic. We happened upon this place thanks to Yelp. They are a bit difficult to find if following GPS but they do have signs up with arrows. They are seemingly centralized in a neighborhood. We thought we were lost and then there the building was. The service was prompt and the tamales were incredible. This place is a hidden gem! My husband and I went today and got the Birria Tacos. The service was so fast and friendly, and the food was 10/10 amazing. We will be returning for sure!

I stopped by the food truck while it was parked at UAB Highlands. The service was polite, quick and friendly. The tamale was one of the best I've had in years and had a nice black bean salsa on top for added fun. I Highly recommend you give the Tamale Queen a try!
