Nice restaurant with a good menu. My allergy needs were taken care of nicely. Food was slow in service, wait after seating was almost an hour.Not everyone at our table had hot food, it seemed like some of our food was prepared then forgotten about then the rest was prepared and served. We all were starving by this time so we just ate what we had.Wait staff didn't do refills on our drinks, could have been understaffed.However, food overall was excellent.

Amazing food. Waitress was awesome and constantly checking on us. Never once felt uncared for. No long wait times despite being packed.The boom boom shrimp is some of the best I’ve had from any restaurant.

The food was excellent, particularly the Etouffe.The server was attentive and friendly.I was not taken with the decor however.It's worth the trip, but be prepared, it's kinda pricey compared to similar places locally.

We headed to Papa Dubi's after a day of baseball games at Sand Mountain Park and it DID NOT disappoint. I am typically skeptical of eating seafood so far from the coast, but the quality and preparation was excellent. Our server recommended the blackened mahi mahi, crawfish sauce, and Cajun rice. That is exactly what we ordered and it was on point. Check this place out if you are in the area.
Nothing Cajun about it. Long wait, they unlike most other Alabama restaurants, do add salt to the batter so there was at least some flavor, and the catfish was clean.
We have been looking for good fried catfish and this place was a wonderful surprise. Everything we ordered was awesome: fried dill pickles, fried catfish, shrimp, oysters, crawfish, hushpuppies and slaw. The red beans and rice were also the best we have ever had. So glad we found Papa Dubi’

I have to admit, I was skeptical about Cajun but this place has some of the best food I’ve ever had. The cheesy shrimp and crab dip appetizer is served with fried Nan bread and it is DELICIOUS. The stars. Our server was on point! Loved all of it!!
The seafood gumbo is so flavorful and delicious, possibly even better than what I've had in the French Quarter. Jambalaya, fried catfish, and hush puppies are all very good too. Our server was also a delight and gave just the right amount of attention without being overkill. Will definitely be back again!
