I had just about given up hope of ever experiencing the delicious food that Chop Suey Inn served for many, many years. For the past few years the food was mostly inedible for my taste. I don't know what happened, but let me tell you, THEY ARE BACK. Been twice in the past two months and enjoyed every morsel. Food is fresh and cooked to order. Will even do so without MSG upon request. Everything is seasoned perfectly. Someone heard my prayers and/or complaints. Just finished my last two egg rolls and Shrimp Egg Foo Young. Yummy.

Chop Suey Inn is a staple of the Birmingham area. I’ve been coming here for years and it’s always been good. I actually crave the Mongolian beef. My wife doesn’t eat Chinese food so if she’s ever out of town or doing dinner somewhere else I always get chop suey inn. As far as all the whiners about service or atmosphere or whatever they complain about, I really don't care. Chop Suey is what it is and I for one hope they never change unlike another Chinese restaurant that begins with Red and ends with Pearl.

Atmosphere is not a huge deal when the food and service are phenomenal! It was clean! They gave booths! It's just not real fancy. The food is amazing. Best fried rice I've had! ?
There egg fried rice is really good and the have amazing chicken wonton soup. It's very quick service . The building is a bit older but they serve you nothing but quality. I can never complain!

Female cashier that's usually at the register is really rude ,and sneaky will and extra charge on your ticket for asking for extra condiment for your large orders!!! ??

This is not the fanciest or hipster place but what it lacks it makes up for in food quantity and flavor, you will not be under feed here. Everything is great but the interaction of the staff with each other is why it gets the fifth star. We call it dinner and a show while standing in line. The steamed dumplings are a choice favorite and a extremely good bargain. With the exception of China town in Boston this is the place to ea

Been visiting for several years now, it’s your typical Chinese fast food but service size is big and prices are very competitive. I usually get the spring rolls (they’re big), chop suey, rice noodles & fried rice.12/2023 update. Looks like the dining area is now open and they're closed on Tuesdays.
