I love Formosa, I have been going to eat with my family since I was a kid, I am now a grown adult. They have been closed since last year, please bring back our go to family dinner restaurant! They are very clean, friendly and the food is always fresh and delicious. Truly the best Chinese in the city!

This was years ago but there was an actual bolt in my wife’s dish. We called the waiter over and they just shrugged and walked away with the metal. It was surreal and dangerous.

This spot is my favorite. I eat in plenty of restaurants but to this restaurant I go the most. The stuff is very helpful and the food they cook is so fresh and tasty. I never miss an opportunity to have a good dinner in this place. I highly recommend this place.

Been going there for years. I have moved so don’t get to go now as much. Service is always excellent. Prices are reasonable & Portions are huge. I prefer dishes in a Chinese white sauce & there’s is outstanding. To spice it up they bring me Chinese red chili paste. Probably the Best Hot & Sour Soup in B’HAM. ( Mr Lin’s in Helena may have a slight edge )

For years Formosa has been our favorite chinese cuisine restaurant. The food is ALWAYS excellent and the service has never been less than outstanding. We have been dining here for over 20 years. In fact, my husband proposed to me at Formosa on a birthday dinner date many years ago. Oh - and their hot and sour soup is the best in town!
It is a comfortable atmosphere and great food! Waiter was very helpful with guiding our culinary experience. Large portions and good prices.

A hidden gem. We are new to the area and tried it on a whim. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of ingredients. It was truly a lovely family style meal. The hot and sour soup was perfect, and the Mongolian beef was incredible. They clearly use clean oil in their fryer, and take care to not cut corners where it counts on flavor. We will be returning.
