10 Best Craft Breweries in Huntsville

Ravenwood Meadery Brewery • $$
2211 Seminole Dr SW Studio 2069, Huntsville

“I was in Huntsville visiting state parks in the area and saw an event was being hosted by Ravenwood. I am sad that the State of Alabama put out a fire ban today so the burning part of the event was cancelled and changed to a rain event. I pre-ordered 3 dinners and when taking to the bartender, she was prepared for those of us that came from out of town. She offered us a refund if we wanted but I read really excited for the rosemary bread bowl with beef stew so she was able to make our three plates. I tried a flight of limited edition mead and loved it. I will be back, I greatly enjoyed the positive vibe of this Meadery.“

“One of our favorites! You can come here anytime, but it's especially great when the weather is nice. Outdoor/indoor seating, dog & kiddo friendly. Always a crowd on a nice day but service is quick and friendly. They are always coming out with new brews. We love the Earth & Stone pizza in the back - beer cheese pretzel is fabulous!“

Mad Malts Brewing Brewery • $
109 NW Maple Ave, Huntsville

“Great little brewery! We stopped here to finish out craft beer trail. We were greeted by the new owner, who happens to own Phat Sammy's and he was telling us about the expansion plans to include a kitchen. This place will be pretty awesome. Currently it has an upstairs and downstairs and the upstairs is cozy like your mom's basement. They have a ton of games you can play while hanging out. Only downside is the lack of parking. I recommend their yam beer. Comes with a fun rim job :)“

Straight to Ale Brewery • $$
2610 Clinton Ave W, Huntsville

“Not ashamed to say we basically spent our whole day here lol. We lucked out that they do free tours on certain days, and we just so happened to be there only a few hours prior so we enjoyed their wonderful food and tasted quite a few beers before attending that tour. It was quite informative and lasted a long time, I always love to see what goes into the creation of tasty drinks! Then we wandered into their speakeasy and had a cocktail there before shuffling on to the other places we had planned to visit originally. I love how they repurposed so much of the school to craft their brewery, it makes it special. None of the beers we tried were anything less than stellar. I so wish we lived closer!“

“Came here for lunch. Service was prompt and friendly. I had the spicy chicken sandwich and did a few coworkers. One said his sandwich had very little sauce on it. We all agreed there was nothing spicy about the sandwich. We weren't even sure if it had been seasoned.“
