“I brought my dad in, who is hard of hearing. He struggles with communication because of this, so he was worried about ordering. The staff was friendly and very helpful and polite. He left very happy and commented about the good attitude everyone there had. I'm sure if he comes alone, they're going to take care of my dad!”

“The service was exceptional. I was greeted when I entered by multiple people. I made a reservation though it wasn’t really needed. The ambiance is nice; I’m a huge fan of low-lit areas. There was a lot of light from the bar area.I asked my server, Mary, what she recommended for a sweet drink and duly went with the Swingin Sunset. It was fresh, sweet, and mixed well. There wasn’t an incredible amount of ice, either. I was served a bread + (sea salt?) butter bowl, which was incredibly tasty. The muffins seemed like they were made with browned butter and a hint of caramelization. The saltiness of the butter complimented the sweetness of the bread. It makes me want to learn how to make it, haha.I asked for food recommendations; she recommended the cheeseburger + gulf fish piccata. I wanted something different from a fish and burger so she ended up recommending the Crispy Potato Gnocci, which was a great choice. It was incredibly filling. The pork belly was crispy and mixed well with the rest of the ingredients in the dish. There was a nice umami + peppery bite.The price of food + drink is a little high, but it goes with saying that the quality of the items made it worth it. I’m glad they have a seasonal menu to provide variety. If I’m ever in town, I would love to come here for brunch or lunch.”

“Oh my yumminess! First time getting anything from here and I most definitely will gladly go out of my way to come back. I got the Ruben which was one of the specials and the pecan pie bread pudding. Absolutely phenomenal, drool worthy and did not disappoint.”

“The coffee is hands down the best I’ve had in the Shoals area. My wife claimed it to be our new “coffee spot” when we want delicious coffee with a relaxed atmosphere. It’s truly like a vacation. “I had dinner with girlfriends last night and it was one of the best meals! Started with great service by Jennifer (I think was her name?!). Asked for our names then addresses us each by name all night. Nice touch for service :) She explained the menu and specials and we ordered the pierogi and burger of the month. Both delicious. Atmosphere is so cozy and cocktails, beer and wine were perfect too. They have Sunday brunch too with a Bloody Mary and mimosa bar! Highly recommend checking out this hidden gem in Florence!”

“Ordered donuts for our employees while traveling for work. Hands down the best donuts I've ever had. We got five variety dozen donuts for our employees. They were freshly made. We liked them so well, we went back on our way home and got some for the road as well as donut holes. Can't say enough good things about the staff and quality of food. Would definitely go back if in the area again.”

“Alabama Bliss Bistro is an amazing place. They have a very nice selection of food to choose from and the food here is amazing. The staff has always been very friendly and courteous and makes your experience here just that much more enjoyable. “Sam’s is a great local spot with great food. There are several TVs so you can watch multiple games at ones which was perfect for catching March madness basketball and opening day for baseball today. We had the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer which I highly recommend! I had the Santa Fe chicken breast was delicious. The sweet potato fries were good but would have been better with some kind of cinnamon, butter, and sugar sauce. Their chicken fingers are also delicious!”

“The fresh bagels were so good and smothered in an amazing scallion cream cheese. I had a cappuccino and took home a wonderful piece of apple crisp for good measure. Such a great place for pastries and coffee. Nice spot to relax and enjoy breakfast. I also got to try the fresh sour dough. Definitely worth the stop in.”

“It was really good. I would definitely eat here again. I would also HIGHLY recommend getting the macaroni and cheese. The fried pickles were yummy too, but take note...theres a kick to them. I think its the actual pickle thats causing it. I am a total wuss when it comes to spicy heat. Ranch dressing helped a lot. Im also a ranch dressing snob...this was exceptional!”

“if you’re in the area, you NEED to stop by this restaurant. the food is phenomenal!! you can choose your own seasonings and the spice level as well. we got the No. 1 Super Combo and added a half pound of crawfish with the cajun and garlic butter seasoning, mild. the sausage was a little on the spicier side but still very delicious!! all the seafood tasted so fresh which is so hard to find around here. our servers name was tequila and she was great!! it was our first time there and she explained everything to us very well and was very attentive!! we had a great experience!! highly recommend this restaurant!!”

“I did indeed go back and tried the ribs this time. Killer good!! They are somewhat reminiscent of the ribs at the world famous Rendezvous in Memphis with a dry rub style, but better! They don't even need sauce, although their sauce is very good too. Solid potato salad also. No, I'm not related to Mr Mitchell and he's not asking me to give good reviews - I'm just happy to tell the world when I find outstanding food. My only regret is that I don't live here and can't eat it more often.”
