“Walked into this little gem for some fresh steaks to put on the grill while we and some friends from North Carolina stay at a local Air BNB. The staff were so welcoming and friendly! My husband and I are from New Orleans and had the rubber burning to get out of town before the hype of Mardi Gras was underway!We mentioned being from New Orleans, when the chef in the back HAD to offer us their gumbo, the New Orleanian stamp of approval of course. My husband and I, as extremely picky about our gumbo as we are, both gave it our blessing! Perfect Roux, seasoned just right, and NO tomato base (typically what we experience for out of NOLA gumbo)On top of the that awesomeness, My husband is a steak connoisseur, and I’m a sucker for adorable home decor and quaint pieces.. “The deer and bear displays were awesome! Also the wolves , cougar turkeys and fish displays. All were educational but it specifically so for hunters. The pictures I took do adequately show the size and quality of the displays so go and see for yourself.“
“I had my daughter's baby shower dinner at Martha’s Place, in one of the private dining rooms. I must tell you, The food is delicious, establishment is very clean, and the staff was awesome. I would recommend everyone try it out at least once. Believe me, you will go back again. 5 out of 5..“
“I've had Potz & Panz twice now. 1st from door dash. My food came hot and it was very delicious. I ordered the smothered pork chops. With collard greens and mac and cheese. It came with hot water cornbread. I will give that order 10/10. The greens were seasoned perfectly and the smothered pork chop required nothing added. I would say I was disappointed that the smothered pork chop didn't come with rice or mashed potatoes but the meal was still amazing.When I actually visited the establishment I noticed that you had to order from the window outside which was fine. The woman taking orders at the window was a gem. She was so sweet, welcoming, and down to earth. Before I ordered she let me sample the jerk chicken. That was the best jerk chicken I've ever eaten and I've been to plenty of Jamaican restaurants or restaurants in general that call themselves making jerk chicken and none of them can hold a candle to Potz & Panz jerk chicken. RUN... don't walk, and get you so ASAP!! Unfortunately I didn't end up getting the jerk that day because my mouth was set on another smothered pork chop plate. I ended up getting the plate with rice and gravy, collard greens, mac and cheese, and field peas w/okra mixed. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the rice was under cooked and the collard greens didn't taste like anything that day which was disappointing. Everything else was cooked to perfection including the hot water cornbread. I'm still going to go back to try other items on their menu. This place is highly recommended.“
“Taher and his amazing Kona Shaved Ice Truck went above and beyond and his yummy shaved ice did some thing no other ice cream truck or shaved ice truck has ever done and that is to come down our lil cul de sac for no other reason but to make my boys night, after I messaged him explaining my 4yr old twins have never got to hear the music andautomatically go raid piggy banks like every kid every summer! They were helpful in every way--menu adjustments, planning suggestions, setup, and cleanup---I could not have asked for more. The day of the reception, they were extremely helpful with all of the details, and in helping me to fix an error in planning which was my own! As usual the service was excellent and for the first time I tried the Vintage Salmon cake salad which has now become my go to item to order....delicious! A very unique setting in a renovated bank with dedicated parking in an otherwise crowded lunch time area. always a treat to go there!“
