It's not really a Mexican restaurant. It's a bar with bar food that happens to be Mexican. If you're a few drinks in it's probably fine but for general purpose eating I wouldn't recommend.

Worst Mexican food I have ever had!! Chicken in the fajitas was bland no seasoning at all! Onions and peppers so over cooked as if they were cooked ahead of time and left on the grill in a pan! Very mushy !

As one of the best rated Mexican places in Montgomery, I was not impressed. The sauce was bland (but they did have habanero sauce on the table to help kick it up). The use of lemon instead of lime on the fajitas was a little strange. Also, the beef was not flank or skirt steak, it was something like a thinly sliced round. Service was slow.Just my opinion, but not really what I think of when I get TexMex.

I work nearby and this place has been my "go to" for months. The food is so very affordable and so very delicious. The chips are thin and crispy exactly the way I like, and everything I've tried has been good. The service is friendly and competent. I walk and usually get my food to go.

Just "so-so". The food wasn't bad per se, but wasn't great. Very average, flavors were pretty mediocre. Staff was friendly and arrive at lunch time was quick. The place is clean and efficient, and point you are around, with plenty of street (paid) parking. Better options in the area though, if you have a car.

first time in this location but the food is still good. love the new lunch
Best Mexican food ever! Will drive 4-5 hours from Louisiana to eat here and make a day of it. Grew up eating Cuco’s in Slidell, and Hammond. Once those two locations closed I would drive all the way to Metairie and then Gretna. Sad to see the owners move away and close the locations in Louisiana but I understand wanting to move out of state completely. I dream about Macho Nachos and Chimipoquitos with the green sauce. Ugh the Sizzling Steak Fajitas, but most of all their amazing thin hot tortilla chips and salsa. Planning a trip this December to bring my Australian boyfriend to try my favorite childhood-teen-adulthood Mexican restaurant and we are going to make a day or 2 out of it and stay in the area. I cannot wait to come eat and order about 8 orders of macho nachos to-go for me & my mom to eat on the next week. She ate at Cuco’s in Slidell while she was pregnant with me, it was what she craved her whole pregnancy so I guess that’s where you can say my addiction started.? she spent her teen years hanging out and eating at Cuco’s every weekend as well. We miss you guys so so soooo much and wish you would come back. The amount of times I see pictures go around locally and viral on Facebook of the Hammond Square Mall Cuco’s location and people reminiscing about Cuco’s and their times in the mall and how much they miss it. Had lifelong memories there I’ll never forget and lots and lots and of birthday parties with fried ice creams and the Big hat! Sooo many people miss Cuco’s in Louisiana, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to come back!?Will work for Cuco’s Mexican!?
Awesome experience young African american man was courteous n very pleasant. My first time there but won't b
