“Just a quick stop for some beignets to go! They were piping hot and liberally tossed into powdered sugar. Yum! Look at how many Bloody Mary’s they have served! Impressive. They even have a table for first responders and fireman reserved for Sunday mornings. So awesome!“

“We had lunch here on vacation. The service was very friendly. Relaxed atmosphere. I thought the food was affordable for a sit down restaurant and the food was delicious. I had the Yard Strutter sandwich was so good. The bun was delicious. We also all shared the fried pecan pie which was delightful. If we were staying longer in the area, I would have went back to try another menu item. You won't be disappointed if you share a meal here with your friends or family.“

“If you like country/comfort food, then this place would be a great fit. Me and my wife went and she got fried chicken, which it was nice and juicy. And I got salmon patties, which I have never seen a restaurant have on their menu before, and they were excellent. Their fried okra was fantastic. Their rolls(and yes, they actually do throw the rolls to you)were very good, but the apple butter set it off. Their portions size was hugh even down to their drink sizes they brought our drinks out in a cup that reminds you of the size of a buba. The atmosphere reminds you of Cracker Barrel or Bob Evans. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star is I wanted to try macaroni and fried potatoes, but I didn't have my plate when they came around and didn't again while we were there. Although you leave stuffed.“

“2 weeks ago I went through the window and ordered turkey club meal, when I got home I realized there wasn't any bacon on the club sandwich. I called the restaurant and was told they would fix the problem, so 2 weeks later I went to gulf shores and spoke with Maykennon. She was very kind and sweet. She replaced my entire order, which I thought was very nice!. So kudos to her and the staff in gulf shores“

“We were a bit disappointed with our lunch here during our time in the area. It came highly recommended, so we had high hopes, and unfortunately, they were let down. The atmosphere of the location is great. Tucked away in the woods with indoor seating, covered with screened patio seating, and a full open patio. You order your food at the counter, and they bring it to you once ready. Service was a bit slow to get our food. We came after the busy lunch hour in hopes of beating the crowd for faster service. You pour/refill your own drinks. We ordered the cheeseburger, the grilled chicken sandwich, and the 6 piece chicken tender plate. All which came with house-made chips. The only thing that was of any flavor was the cheeseburger. The chicken tenders were big, good quality, and the breading was light and airy, but there was absolutely no flavor to the breading at all. We had to add salt and pepper to the tenders to give them a bit of flavor. The grilled chicken sandwich was just as bland and flavorless.Very limited and pricey menu. I don't recall seeing a single item of seafood for lunch, which is odd being at the coast.“

“I'm not a regular here. Only when I come to the beach to visit my son is when I go on a Sunday afternoon to watch him and my daughter-in-law play in a pool league. It's an older bar and a bit small as there are only 2 pool tables to play matches and are very close together. There is a small stage as they have a band sometimes with a small dance floor. I can't comment on the band, as I've never been there when they play. They are a bit pricey on their Cocktails so if you order a premium drink, be prepared for the price.Parking: Very small parking lot.“

“This was our first visit to Jim and Nicks. We were there today 3/23/2024 for lunch. We had the pulled pork, cold slaw, beans and corn muffins and a drink. The pork was smoked to perfection. The sauce complimented the meat. The cold slaw and beans were delicious, served at the right temperatures and plentiful. The two corn muffins were a hit as well. The facility was bright, clean, comfortable and the decor was stylish. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Every staff member that passed our table greeted us, asked how we were doing and if we needed anything else. Rich, the manager stopped by our table and asked if it was our first time at the restaurant then a delightful conversation followed. We had a fun time at a great place with wonderful BBQ at a good price. We will be back next week!Parking: Location surrounds the restaurant. Parking spots are spacious. We have a large pickup and we’re very comfortable with the space provided“
