“Hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant! My wife and I come here at least once a week, it's gotten to the point where the staff know our orders almost before we sit down!The staff are wonderful and make sure you don't go without anything you need. If I HAD to complain about anything, it's that they don't let a drink get below half before refilling, but that's not a bad thing. :)The food is easily the biggest draw. I'm originally from California, so I've been around some good Mexican, but La Cazuela is still the best that I've ever had. Most Mexican restaurants have a very similar taste and style, but they stand out among the crowd, and stand head and shoulders above!I note this below in the parking section, but parking can get a little hectic during peak hours. The restaurant is popular and the parking lot can fill up. There is a church behind that will get used for overflow, but DO NOT park in front of the fire station!Parking: This is a very popular dining spot. If you're going around dinner time (about 6:00-7:30-ish), it can get extremely busy and parking can fill up.There is a church behind the restaurant (Gateway Family Church) that people will use as overflow parking, as the church is usually empty. DO NOT PARK in the grass in front of the fire station next door.“
“My partner and I love eating here! Very fast, authentic, tasty Mexican food! Ask for the cactus in the side. We work in Emergency medicine and enjoy a good meal when we don’t get to eat often! Thank you for always providing us a delicious meal when we get a break to eat!“
“This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Trussville area. We love the food and the employees - always happy, helpful, and friendly (Becky's our favorite - she makes a mean Jose Jalapeno!). Have never had a bad meal, and the last visit we noticed they have even increased the size of their queso cup. Never hear a complaint there!“
“Had huevos rancheros wi cafe de la olla, and it was superb. I don't often review, but the food was delicious, service quick and courteous, and atmosphere relaxing but well-appointed. I'm incredibly excited they are in Trussville and will definitely be back!“
“Food was good but skimpy portions. Staff wasnt interested in walk in customers. Asked for a fork or spork and girl at register never acknowledged so i asked when receiving my food from another girl and she didnt kno if they had any so she asked the girl i previously asked only to get a response of we out. However 5-10 min later an employee walked in w a box of sporks..“
“Absolutely wonderful customer service, the young ladies serving were beyond pleasant. I haven’t seen that kind of service since Covid started! The food was fantastic too, they have way more options for toppings than most everywhere I have been, great for customizing whatever you order.“
“We haven't been here in years. Not sure why?The chips and salsa were plentiful. The chips were very light and served hot from the oven. They were Devine. The salsa was more robust than most local offerings. May have been chopped more finely for a more even flavor. A wonderful sensation on the tongue.I got the Chimichanga, beef, with no beans, sour cream and guacamole on side, (for Ashley). I asked for extra lettuce, onions and tomatoes in place of the beans.The salad fixings were cut fresh. The onions were sharp and sweet. (Too early for Vidalias but almost that sandy sweet taste with a nice MEAN bite that was very enjoyable and unexpected!) The tomatoes were rich red and bursting with flavor.The rice was pretty blonde with a hint of butter on top. Perfectly tender and yet firm.The CHANGA was a masterpiece. Gently folded and full of steak or roast so tender it just fell apart. The shell was perfectly crisp and covered with cheese and a light sauce. The beef melted in my mouth as it fell apart on the fork. The whole plate was just beautiful. I wish I had photographed it to share but we were very hungry.Ashley had the Super Nachos. Her large plate was piled high with chips, lettuce, tomatoes, plenty of the ground beef covered in cheese on one side. The other side featured gently moist grilled chicken mixed with the signature salsa. Another beautifully plated meal that needed nothing else.We almost finished our dinners but had a little left for morning.We will be back soon.Service was so smooth and easy. Our waiter even complimented my attempts at Spanish.“
“I don't write reviews very often, if at all, and I could not help but do so here. I got delivery and wasn't expecting much, however, the maravil chicken tortilla soup tasted like home. I'm currently starting to get sick and figured I needed a pick me up, I am more than happy that I chose to order from here. The soup tasted just like how my mother made it. I was honestly close to crying, now is it the most complex thing ever? No. But it's a simple dish that, when done well, can heal a thousand wounds. It was perfect, and I can't wait to dine in some day! Whoever made the soup, needs a raise!“
“01-03-2024 Wednesday supperWe orderd the #29 & it was A LOT of food! Chili relleno, enchilada, burrito, tostado, taco & flauta (I think). Everything was delicious! We love the salsa & cheese dip here. ?This place has been clean every time we've visited here. The people here are so very nice. Service has always been super fast. Love the atmosphere too!
