“We were going to be in the area for a tennis match, so we took the opportunity to visit a place we'd heard about and wanted to check out. So glad we did. First, the food. The dishes we got were delicious: Bourbon Waffle for my wife and Chicken and Waffle for me. I'm picky about wings, and these didn't disappoint, from the fry to the glaze. I enjoyed the waffles too, especially swiped through the wing glaze. [Next time, I'm going to ask for that on my waffles rather than syrup. You should too.] I got a bite of my wife's waffle and enjoyed it, but definitely thought I'd made the best choice for me. Second, the place. I'm a big fan of repurposing older buildings for new establishments, and of not losing the vibe of the original place. Kudos to the owners. Finally, the service. Apparently, for some folks it was slow; for me it was laid back. I was not I a hurry, so no big deal. But the woman who served us was extremely friendly and helpful, and even indulged my curious questions graciously. I don't get into that part of Alabama often, but next time I'm there, I'm going back to Superhero Chefs.“
“Miss Bailey was the best server I've ever had. She made me feel so comfortable and I was completely worn out from driving and working all day and after a very difficult week. The food was awesome, service the best and everyone was great. Miss Bailey made my day by being a nice person and making me feel special after a rough week .“
“Jack's Place is always a winner for dinner or brunch. The menu has a large selection of entrees, salads, and sandwiches, and several daily specials. My favorites are the brisket, panko-encrusted pork sandwich, and the chicken parm. Their wine list is better than most in the Shoals. The star is always the dessert like the chocolate meringue pie. Get there early or they will sell out!“
“Visiting Florence today with friend who has celiac, so always a challenge to find interesting lunch eateries in GF world. But this is it. Whether you r GF or not, this terrific lunch place epitomizes next generation of tasty, fusion-y, healthy food. Some places advertise as "GF" because they have 1 or 2 dull GF options. Not Esther's. Today, they had predominantly vegie and GF options, but also meat if u chose. For lunch, you order either a bowl or a plate but basically both feature complementary combos of vegie or meat components. I chose meatless options, and like in any super restaurant, as I was eating, kept thinking, what spices did they use to season these couscous? What ingredients make this potato/kale curry so unusual? How did they turn something as boring-sounding as brussels sprout cole slaw into something I would kill to serve at a dinner party? Plus, according to my friend, their GF desserts were great (not just the usual tolerable). Cannot say enough about good vibes of this place. live in a part of Nashville famous for out of box, amazing restaurants, and returning home tonight, all I can say is, Esther! Would you please consider opening Esther's-North up here?“
“I had dinner with girlfriends last night and it was one of the best meals! Started with great service by Jennifer (I think was her name?!). Asked for our names then addresses us each by name all night. Nice touch for service :) She explained the menu and specials and we ordered the pierogi and burger of the month. Both delicious. Atmosphere is so cozy and cocktails, beer and wine were perfect too. They have Sunday brunch too with a Bloody Mary and mimosa bar! Highly recommend checking out this hidden gem in Florence!“
“Our first opportunity to visit this place was for a company party this past week, and it was an excellent experience. The dining hall had an amazing energy. It felt like we were attending the king's feast in the ballroom of a middle ages castle. Based on the fact that the meal was prepared ahead of time for a room full of people, it was very good. My only complaint could be the fact I couldn't get the attention of our server when I wanted Worcestershire sauce, and they had only offered A1 and Heinz 57. The steak didn't actually need anything additional, so I have no legitimate complaint. Due to limited hours of operation, it's a shame that we don't have the opportunity to frequent this established regularly.“
“The Rattlesnake Saloon is a very unique restaurant. Tucked away under a rocky overhang and waterfall. It gives off western outlaw hideout vibes. The food was good and the staff were friendly and attentive. Well worth a visit.Parking: You park your car and ride a shuttle done to the restaurant.“
