“Castello’s Mexican - finally a great Restaurant for the small town of Tuscumbia Alabama! Located in Historic downtown Tuscumbia by Spring Park, this place is a must try if you like authentic Mexican food! Walking thru the front doors the aroma of sizzling steak and spices awoke our senses! Tonight was our first visit, we tried a few items from the menu and every dish seemed to outdo the other! Wow on the steak Nachos- fresh flash fried tortilla wedges covered with perfectly seasoned carne asada steak and smothered with a mixture of cheese dip and shredded cheese, served with crisp lettuce, pico and sour cream 10/10! The Steak street tacos were remarkable - fresh corn tortilla filled with grilled steak, fresh onion and cilantro! Served with a couple sauces - verde salsa type sauce that maybe had an avocado base, and a spicy creamy red sauce that had amazing flavor but need to build up my spice level and a side of street corn that may have been pricy but best I’ve ever had! Fresh corn on the cob with a smoky flavor, covered in lightly spiced Mayo mixture and fresh crumbled cheese! Dessert too good to share! We are already planning our next visit!“
“The Rattlesnake Saloon is a very unique restaurant. Tucked away under a rocky overhang and waterfall. It gives off western outlaw hideout vibes. The food was good and the staff were friendly and attentive. Well worth a visit.Parking: You park your car and ride a shuttle done to the restaurant.“
“The restaurant itself is very beautiful inside, decorated tastefully for the holidays and the regular decorations offering a very homey southern atmosphere. Food prices are absolutely amazing. Staff was attentive, sweet, and friendly. And the food? Pancakes are huge, eggs were perfect, hash browns were tasty, the gravy was fabulous and the biscuits? They were buttery, flaky, and delicious! Y'all gotta try this place out!!“
“Mom & Pop restaurant in Muscle Shoals we stop for breakfast it was ole time delicious. Biscuits& gravy order of (red) ripe ? slices. Scrambled ?. Waitress was very attentive& kept the coffee cup filled. They serve a buffet breakfast on Saturday & a regular buffet Sunday dinner. Call Jody's for info. We will go back, a friendly down home go in your work ? clothes type place.“
“I ordered the beef tips over rice, and was well pleased. Good serving size and tasted great. The cole slaw was good as well. The next time, I'll order the cornbread instead of the roll, as it was a little stale. Also the string beans tasted like they weren't seasoned at all.“
“We were going to be in the area for a tennis match, so we took the opportunity to visit a place we'd heard about and wanted to check out. So glad we did. First, the food. The dishes we got were delicious: Bourbon Waffle for my wife and Chicken and Waffle for me. I'm picky about wings, and these didn't disappoint, from the fry to the glaze. I enjoyed the waffles too, especially swiped through the wing glaze. [Next time, I'm going to ask for that on my waffles rather than syrup. You should too.] I got a bite of my wife's waffle and enjoyed it, but definitely thought I'd made the best choice for me. Second, the place. I'm a big fan of repurposing older buildings for new establishments, and of not losing the vibe of the original place. Kudos to the owners. Finally, the service. Apparently, for some folks it was slow; for me it was laid back. I was not I a hurry, so no big deal. But the woman who served us was extremely friendly and helpful, and even indulged my curious questions graciously. I don't get into that part of Alabama often, but next time I'm there, I'm going back to Superhero Chefs.“
“Whether you're stopping for a quick bite or taking the kids out for ice cream, this little spot is one of the best hidden gems of the Shoals. My dad always took me the Sparky's when I was a child and I've enjoyed doing the same with my kids. “
“Miss Bailey was the best server I've ever had. She made me feel so comfortable and I was completely worn out from driving and working all day and after a very difficult week. The food was awesome, service the best and everyone was great. Miss Bailey made my day by being a nice person and making me feel special after a rough week .“
“The service was exceptional. I was greeted when I entered by multiple people. I made a reservation though it wasn’t really needed. The ambiance is nice; I’m a huge fan of low-lit areas. There was a lot of light from the bar area.I asked my server, Mary, what she recommended for a sweet drink and duly went with the Swingin Sunset. It was fresh, sweet, and mixed well. There wasn’t an incredible amount of ice, either. I was served a bread + (sea salt?) butter bowl, which was incredibly tasty. The muffins seemed like they were made with browned butter and a hint of caramelization. The saltiness of the butter complimented the sweetness of the bread. It makes me want to learn how to make it, haha.I asked for food recommendations; she recommended the cheeseburger + gulf fish piccata. I wanted something different from a fish and burger so she ended up recommending the Crispy Potato Gnocci, which was a great choice. It was incredibly filling. The pork belly was crispy and mixed well with the rest of the ingredients in the dish. There was a nice umami + peppery bite. The price of food + drink is a little high, but it goes with saying that the quality of the items made it worth it. I’m glad they have a seasonal menu to provide variety. If I’m ever in town, I would love to come here for brunch or lunch.“
“Jack's Place is always a winner for dinner or brunch. The menu has a large selection of entrees, salads, and sandwiches, and several daily specials. My favorites are the brisket, panko-encrusted pork sandwich, and the chicken parm. Their wine list is better than most in the Shoals. The star is always the dessert like the chocolate meringue pie. Get there early or they will sell out!“
“Visiting Florence today with friend who has celiac, so always a challenge to find interesting lunch eateries in GF world. But this is it. Whether you r GF or not, this terrific lunch place epitomizes next generation of tasty, fusion-y, healthy food. Some places advertise as "GF" because they have 1 or 2 dull GF options. Not Esther's. Today, they had predominantly vegie and GF options, but also meat if u chose. For lunch, you order either a bowl or a plate but basically both feature complementary combos of vegie or meat components. I chose meatless options, and like in any super restaurant, as I was eating, kept thinking, what spices did they use to season these couscous? What ingredients make this potato/kale curry so unusual? How did they turn something as boring-sounding as brussels sprout cole slaw into something I would kill to serve at a dinner party? Plus, according to my friend, their GF desserts were great (not just the usual tolerable). Cannot say enough about good vibes of this place. live in a part of Nashville famous for out of box, amazing restaurants, and returning home tonight, all I can say is, Esther! Would you please consider opening Esther's-North up here?“
“I had dinner with girlfriends last night and it was one of the best meals! Started with great service by Jennifer (I think was her name?!). Asked for our names then addresses us each by name all night. Nice touch for service :) She explained the menu and specials and we ordered the pierogi and burger of the month. Both delicious. Atmosphere is so cozy and cocktails, beer and wine were perfect too. They have Sunday brunch too with a Bloody Mary and mimosa bar! Highly recommend checking out this hidden gem in Florence!“
“Great food, great funk, great fun! The waffle and tenders were perfect, fried green tomatoes excellent, onion rings had superlative blend of crunch and grease, and sauce just the right kick. The atmosphere was atmospheric--love the funky music videos of a certain age. And Jenna while you wait....ahhhh magnifico!!!“
“I'll come back and leave five stars when they get this place fully up and running. Right now it's full of construction and dust, but the stores we visited were great. We hope to get to go back next year when things have really gotten better and some restaurants are open.“
“If you love country cooking like me , this is another good country style food place in Shoals area . Nothing to explain here if you love good ole cornbread with that country fried steak or chicken or fish etc. , creamy mashed potatoes , some beans and greens . They all are good . Its simple delicious and puts a big smile on your face . The service is good , staff is friendly and the food is great . So if you are in shoals area then check this one out of many country cooking places in Shoals . Its a good one .“
“Turnip greens are so good! Only thing that needs improved is parking. Their cooking takes me home ?. Sure is some good eating. I'm an excited regular now ?.Parking: They have parking. They also have reserved parking for handicap (2) but their popularity is such that the lot stays overfull. But it's worth the task. Love this little place ?.“
“The views of the sunrise over the river in the rotating restaurant were amazing while enjoying a delicious breakfast buffet. The service was great and everyone was very friendly, from the cooks to the servers and even security.Parking: Parking available at base of tower beside the spa.“
“Sam’s is a great local spot with great food. There are several TVs so you can watch multiple games at ones which was perfect for catching March madness basketball and opening day for baseball today. We had the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer which I highly recommend! I had the Santa Fe chicken breast was delicious. The sweet potato fries were good but would have been better with some kind of cinnamon, butter, and sugar sauce. Their chicken fingers are also delicious!“
“I had the meat +3 with hamburger steak, coleslaw, fried apples, and green beans. My son had the best cheeseburger he's ever eaten with mac and cheese and pecan pie. YUM! Also great service.Dietary restrictions: Great low carb options“
“Wife and I got 20 wings. Half smoked(boss), half friend( lemon pepper with hot). Also an order of loaded fries. The food was amazing!! Absolute best wings and loaded fries like none I ever had! Definitely will be back! 10 outta 10 recommend!“
“Y'all have to try this place out. They cook like my mama! So good. Turnip greens did not have any sugar, you could taste the sage in the chicken and dressing and the potato salad had mustard in it. Mexican cornbread from scratch with pickles jalapenos. Yum. Meat 3 veggies drink and desert. $9.“
“If I had my most favorite job this one would be it… front from the foods the prices & most importantly the amazing people here. Nowhere like Stells! If you haven’t tried it, you should.. the ribeyes, the wings even the chicken fingers are good. We love stells!!“
“Higher rating on one slice, so the boys talked me into going. The wings were great, the pizza was pretty good. They do have a full bar, and the espresso martini was actually very good. The varieties of pies is extensive, i had the babe, it was tasty, just a little light on the sauce and the crust was thinner than I like, but overall, I'd go back.“
“The Chicago Dogs were really good.Tasted just like the hotdogs back home in Chicago. Our meal came with chips and a drink and at such a great price . The service was really great, and we’ll definitely be back when we come back to Florence to visit.“
“Our first opportunity to visit this place was for a company party this past week, and it was an excellent experience. The dining hall had an amazing energy. It felt like we were attending the king's feast in the ballroom of a middle ages castle. Based on the fact that the meal was prepared ahead of time for a room full of people, it was very good. My only complaint could be the fact I couldn't get the attention of our server when I wanted Worcestershire sauce, and they had only offered A1 and Heinz 57. The steak didn't actually need anything additional, so I have no legitimate complaint. Due to limited hours of operation, it's a shame that we don't have the opportunity to frequent this established regularly.“
“We had a good time set outside ate, watched the fish and enjoyed meeting the people at the table next to us.Parking: It is easy to park some parking closer than others but still easy to parkWheelchair accessibility: It has ramps to the restaurant.“
“Top notch! Ny Dog is A1 quality. Lived in Germany twice this is the closest Kraut and bratwurst I've had since. Works Pizza is fantastic also. I'm sure they got more but it's hard for me to stop ordering these two things since they are so spot on! Highly recommended!“
“The food was amazing I loved the chicken, roast beef and more but the mac and cheese could be a little better but still amazing and the desserts were AMAZING I highly recommend the banana pudding the staff were amazing.Vegetarian options: There were lots of fruits and vegetables“
“So, let just say the steak was prepared well, and one of the better steaks I have had. The mash potatoes was phenomenal as well, and went very well with the steak. Service was good, very good and attentive. I only gave it 4 stars for one reason alone. They do not have a good selection of alcohol. Mainly, scotch, bourbon, or whiskey. You got to have a good selection of these for a steak place of this caliber. A 15 year Macallan goes a long way with a steak.“
“I was traveling with six others when we stopped here for breakfast. We had great food and a wonderful server named Ben. He was super energetic, had a great personality and very helpful guiding us through our meal selection. Everyone enjoyed their meal and our surroundings.“
“I recently dined at Homeside Restaurant for lunch, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. While I typically don't have high expectations for meat and three places, Homesite exceeded them. I opted for the blackened fish, and it was cooked to perfection, showcasing the cook's skill and attention to detail. Although the baked potato was slightly undercooked, the overall quality of the food and the exceptional service more than made up for it. Whatever the kitchen staff is doing, they should keep it up. Homeside Restaurant delivers a delightful dining experience worth revisiting.“
“I love the Boiler Room! I had my birthday party here about a year ago and it was perfect. The staff was very nice and adhered to all of the needs of the party. I definitely recommend dropping by here to either have a party or enjoy a fun time with some of your friends. They have everything you could ask for when it comes to catering to your party needs!“
“Food was delicious and plentiful for such reasonable prices! The bartenders were super friendly and came to find us with our food. The only issue was with the dress code. Our friend just messed up his ankle in a nearby wrestling match and was visibly limping and was turned away for sweatpants, had to walk back to the car(a block and a half away) to change. Given what we saw others wearing, I don't understand it. I know it wasn't the security/bouncers fault, they were just enforcing it. But it was a little ridiculous given the circumstances of our friend.“
“Only issue was...when you serve shrimp that are prepared in a manner other than steamed, please remove the shell. Ordered the stuffed shrimp and had to remove shells myself. Should never have to handle or fight with my food. Other than that, great all around.“
“My name on the order was Ray. I’ve worked in fast food before. My 1 burger was taking a long time but there was a bunch of customers there today. After awhile a lady showed up super apologetic. I felt so bad for her..but good job guys! Keep up the good “
“Incredibly beautiful location, friendly, accommodating staff and the best Filet mignon I've ever seen or eaten. As i understand the same chef has been in the kitchen 50+ years and it shows. Everything from the Wine Menu to the Greek Salad all just perfectly executed. Made for a perfect evening to propose. Would recommend to anyone.“
“Great French onion soup, and they brown the cheese for you if you ask, which we think gives it more flavor. The lunch bowl is endless and tasty. The oriental chicken salad was also great. Brought entrees before soup, but they apologized, and it worked out great.“
“Wasn’t packed but that’s not their fault. All depends on the people. But their service and quality was superb! Couldn’t recommend this bar more to someone! Service was quick, drinks mixed excellently, a superior experience to its competitors, will definitely be returning here time and time again. If you see the server in the photo attached you know you’re gonna get good service!“
“My wife and I had dessert here. Great atmosphere and service. Interesting decor of old menus from former area restaurants. The bread pudding/ butter cake was some of the best that I've ever had. WE will definitely be back for a date night in the near future.“
“I called a week in advance to order 2 pans of cooked chicken and dressing for Christmas. It was ready on 12/23 at 4 PM as promised. ($40 per pan; feeds 12-15 per pan). The food was very good and the service was excellent.Great meat & 3 and country breakfast restaurant.“
“We had lunch portions of the grilled steak salad and grilled chicken/strawberry salad plus sides. Husbands salad was great, meat cooked to his liking. My chicken was cooked but there wasn't much meat and lots of grisel. Rest of the salad was great and sides were good too. Although they didn't have any baked potatoes for lunch. Our server was great. I just know to order the steak salad, more meat and tasted great.“
“Great wings and EXCELLENT customet service. I wish I remembered the young lady's name who was working the drive thru when I went on 3/6/24 around 3:30pm. She was patient, gave me suggestions, and even told me to come back the next day. She was absolutely amazing.“
“I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, BUT the 'side items' on the menu are not even close to being on the same level as the meat options. The meats are really good, but the sides like baked beans and potato salad is like an afterthought of just quick convenience. Hardly any seasoned taste to sides. They have a "partial" winner, but they apparently dont want to knock it outta the park.“
“Great food , reasonable prices , good atmosphere. Overall a good experience! Had a good waitress..enjoyed it!!Parking: Usually very crowded during peak times but did find a spot a little further awayKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly..Kids own menu , coloring activity sheet and crayonsWheelchair accessibility: Yes..at least 15 spots“
“I like the grilled hot wings. (with the ghost pepper sauce) They make watching college ? better. The bbq is juicy and flavorful and they have good sauces. (Again, get the hot!) My kids like the chicken tenders and they really like the mac n cheese. I live very close to this location so it's too easy. With the Smokin Jalapeño in the same building...We go there a lot.“
“"Captain D's Please"Love coming here after church on Sundays or during the week for a quick lunch. I am a vegetarian but am happy with all the veggie sides they offer, they even have a "vegetable plate" on the menu. The inside is always sparkling and the store manager is super nice. Great team of working people, working together. Some of the best hush-puppies in town! And they sell Cheese Cake Factory's famous cheese cakeVegetarian options: One of the few restaurants in town that offer a "vegetable plate"I'm so thankful“
“The prices where great and the double bacon cheeseburger was a tough burger too eat but it was so darn good I ate it all the service are very nice and treat you like family and the place inside is very colorful which I like colorful colors and they always ask if you need something I really loved this place.“
